FX’s “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette” is a limited series that explores the undeniable chemistry, whirlwind courtship and high-profile marriage of one of the most iconic couples of the 20th century. The first installment in Ryan Murphy’s “Love Story” anthology is inspired by Elizabeth Beller’s book “Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy.” He was the closest thing to American royalty. The country watched him grow from a boy to a beloved bachelor and media sensation. She was a star in her own right. Fiercely independent and with a singular style, she rose from being a sales assistant to an executive at Calvin Klein, and became a trusted confidante of its eponymous founder. As their love story unfolded on a national stage, the intense fame and media attention that came along with it threatened to rip them apart. The series charts the complex and heartbreaking journey of a couple whose private love became a national obsession.

  1. Arrived late. 😟 Bought my subscription after finding out about the series and I've seen the first five episodes several times. Loved it!! All of it!! I think actors did an amazing job especially Paul and Sarah.

  2. I think, the film tells us a Love Story. I am for it. I took interest in the real people.
Watched documentaries, saw photos. They did love each other, which is a rare gift.
    The actors sympathise with
Both and it makes the series very appealing. I wish them more good parts like this. Ryan Murfy is a success.

  3. I love this series! I wish it was 5 seasons long! We need another series with Paul and Sarah. A gossip girl-suits-love story series in which there’s ambition, power, love, family and friends.

  4. Notice the strategic and repeated use of the word “characters,” which signals that what we’re seeing is a fabrication version of their lives rather than reality.

  5. Curious to see if they address the fact that the JFK line won't continue as they had no children. Also that so many hoped he'd follow in his father's footsteps, even though he eluded to the idea he had no interest in going into politics, but was in fact the editor of George Magazine.

  6. Their love was so raw and passionate. When they fought, they fought hard. They also loved hard. Their love story reminded me of a scene from the show, Sons of Anarchy. Jax asks Tara if she loved him and she responded with….."if i could stop, i would."

  7. I love the series!!! But…. I grew up in the 80's and 90's and I don't recall back then people using the phrases "in my head" or "my person." Just 2 little things that stood out as inaccurate for that time period.

  8. CB was a narcissist, a bXXXX, and weak person. She destroyed a relationship because of publicity. She wasn’t strong enough of character to be a partner of jfk jr
