If you can't record via Airpods, this would be a big issue for me.
Honestly, I regret purchasing the Plaud AI Note Taker. The 500-minute transcription allowance is simply not sufficient. During the initial setup, more than an hour was already spent uploading and processing a sample recording, and thereafter I was repeatedly prompted to upgrade my subscription.
For regular use, 500 minutes can be used up very quickly, especially when recording meetings or longer discussions. In hindsight, I should have considered other brands that do not impose additional transcription charges. Overall, I’m quite disappointed with the purchase and regret not comparing the available options more carefully.
Seems like Plaud should just be an app on an Apple Watch. Or at worst an app on our phone.
If you cant record via Bluetooth headphones …that's a big negative.
does claude desktop during a meet or zoom call tell everyone on the call its being recorded etc? Or is it just recording the audio and not actually "plugged in" to the meet/zoom call?

You’re talking about how it integrates into my life and workflow, which is what I was looking for: the pros and cons, and how it fits into my workflow and eliminates the need for separate apps for separate things. The CENTRALITY is the feature that I've been looking for.
How is the speaker tagging? For meetings with the same people. Does it have a profile per known speaker?

Will the Plaud Note transcribe and translate automatically in the language I am asking, or will it just transcribe in the original language of the recording (and then I have to translate the written text by myself or using Google Translate)? Not paying for a subscription
When I make my calls, I use airpods. In this instance, Plaude will not pick up anything from the conversation if it is playing in my earbuds, correct?
Would definitely get if there wasn’t a subscription fee. Do they make any quality note taking devices without subscriptions?

So technically, I know you mentioned that the Note Pro can't record with Airpods. So can't we just use the Pin S and put the phone on speakerphone, and it could still record and transcribe that way as a workaround for not having the Pro?
I'm never going to start wasting my money and sacrificing my privacy and security with these unnecessary parasitic vanity devices or paying a subscription for the privilege. Taking out your phone doesn't introduce friction. Everyone has a phone out all the time. It's a tool. That's the point. It's not distracting. And you can turn off notifications. I'd be much more distracted seeing Plaud devices, especially because I know they're an AI data-collection pipeline. This isn't a substitute for note taking. Taking notes makes them available to you not just after an event but during an event. And creating those notes yourself helps your brain interact with the text, understand it better, and retain it longer.
Would you buy both and use each. I’m typically taking calls on speaker phone or in car on speaker. Otherwise it’s one on one meeting. So maybe note pin would work for me?
If they gave you unlimited use for a year and SHOW how much you use it and it’s worth, they would potentially have you hooked by the end of the year.
Can you use both the pro and the pen under the same user summary. When times for the pro makes sense and times for the pen hands-free make sense. But you want the notes all summarize under the same system.
Can i use both device at the same time?
ONLY the note pin is worth using because it ACTUALLY makes things hands free. The note pro is literally the same as holding your phone in your hand or laying it on the table lol. It doesn nothing special that you can do with your phone and an app like otter ai, chat gpt, etc.
I was leaning toward the pro until I realised I use earbuds on most of the phone calls I'd like to record and it won't work! For me this is a big gap and I'd love to see a phone app to cover this blindspot.

Okay so I love the NotePin S, thank you for sharing about it! I do wonder though with the Note Pro, can it attach to a MagSafe case and does it affect call recording if done?
And can you attach a normal or MagSafe pop socket to the Note Pro while it’s attached to your phone or will it not be able to give the same functionality then?
I use pop sockets to hold my phone, so went with the pin but still wondering about the pro.

The way the human brain is wired as soon as you start taking notes you stop listening. These devices would have been great when I was in college and then doing meetings for a living (at least, that's the way it felt at the time. I'm happily retired now).
plaud needs a subscription to work it’s a bummer and can’t be sustainable on the long run . the plaud pin is ugly i tired to use it but actually i prefer a more premium device like a TP-7
