The only bad thing about this video is that it ends. I could watch 2 hours of this guy talking about Volvos, accelerating, and beatiful cars on display.
I just traded every car I have and all my cash for two insanely low mile 850's, and 1 is a JDM RHD R wagon.
the Volvo 850 T-5R yellow wagon was a classic the instant it was released as it was the very 1st R car. to this day, it was the only R car to have raced for volvo.. everything else afterwards stood for 'refinement' and never 'race' again.

I absolutely love the P80 V70. My first car was a 2000 V70 SE. The first Volvo we had in our family was a 1998 V70 T5. The comfort, handling and solid build quality are superb. I recently drove a manual S70 T5M and fell in love all over again. These are some of the most satisfying cars to drive. They’re gas guzzlers though! Prepare to spend quite a bit at the pump!

Very professionally produced video, I had a V70 T5 estate new in 1998, the performance was staggering, so much so I only achieved 10,000 miles on my first set of tyres enjoying it!

Awesome video! I have a 1998 Volvo V70 manual with almost every suspension/chasis upgrade available and Ferrita exhaust. I can't stop driving this car on the backroads!
I have a C70 T5, beautiful shape and what an engine. Nostalgic of those 5 cylinder turbo that modern auto with boring modern engine will never have.
I can't believe the cult following on these cars, everyone who drives them (t5 or R) absolutely loves it, yet they are not so popular, especially in europe, you can find them for like 500 euro.

i keep hearing/being told. that my 98 R awd is less reliable. but here it is with 420 000km on it and has the original angle gear. i think it might just be the manual ones that die. manuals are inherently rougher on themselves.

I watched this because I'm considering buying a "mint" 2000 V70R I found for sale and I wanted to know more. This one has AWD which according to this video is unreliable. I think I'll pass.
