  1. It's "Roberto", not "Alberto", and the orphanage is 511 Kinderheim, not 501…Also, the story takes place in the mid 90s, and "the guy" they want to put in a position of power is Johan…Did you actually watch/read Monster or just use a synopsis? 🙄

One more thing: L's real name is pronounced LawLIGHT, not how you pronounced it throughout the video.

  2. Solving a normal, yet genius serial killer…. Vs solving a serial killer using the unseeable power of Shinegami…. And first having to figure out Shinegami exist, and then PROVING it…. Gee.. I wonder if L could solve this 🤔

  3. I would agree to L the one who figured light is Kira (even tho he couldn't prove) he would absolutely find Johan with or without his sister,it will me maybe the most difficult case L faced but he would absolutely solve it

  4. I personally think L got a huge advantage ngl cuz he cud easily identify Johan's sister and Tenma. So,vhe cud find his identity easily ngl. Yagami had a huge ego which led to his death ngl but, Johan defies reasoning and just does evil shi for pure joy. But, ngl Johan would just kill himself ngl. I personally think Johan Liebert cud be found in the modern world ngl. Cuz Tenma literally decided to help Johan in the end with surgery and he mysteriously disappeared. Unless he completely changes his identity.

  5. This presupposes that the German police and Federal criminal police office are going to work and cooperate with L to catch someone that doesn't exist. L needs eyes and people in the field to do his work, hence why he had to accept the incompetent police force of Japan in his anti-kira club.

Good luck however getting the German police and detectives to help you on a manhunt of someone they don't care about, are bribed to turn a blind eye or they think doesn't exist. Tenma was considered a murderer and he was being manhunted for 3 years by local detectives, federal detectives and a criminal underground organization and still Tenma was slipping from them while Johan was just walking next to them and being ignored, infact the detective Lunge never came face-to-face with Johan.

L would have to go into the field through Germany and eastern Europe if he wants information because Lunge would be on vacation or too hyperfixated to cooperate with L.

  6. Light got outsmarted many times but theres few that got him automatically suspected
1.when he fell for my broadcast trap
2.when sidoh told mello/near that the fake rule didnt exist and that shinigamis could fake rules

  7. People keep playing the "Too perfect" card on Johan forgetting that he literally tries to make mistakes to capture the imperfections of a disguise he's having? Like, he didn't hold back his involuntary tears hearing carl's story because he empathized with him, he laughed at suk's story about cops and thieves passionately like if it genuinely amused him, he doesn't act perfectly in the sense where it gets suspicous, I believe he can manipulate someone like L indeed.

  8. If you are comparing L and Johan I think it is only fair you delete Watari and Tenma from the case entirely, and If not for tenma saving Johan's life not a single person would have known he even existed.

  9. If L does meet and get info out of Tenma, i do think L would win. Hes already shown that he is able to consider impossible and otherwise unrealistic scenarios, such as the kira case where its a literal book-possessing the ability to kill people. Of course L would most likely need to play some risky moves that could allow Johan to win and vice versa. Even if L isnt able to catch Johan, he’d atleast be able to know that Johan is a serial killer (same thing with Light). Imprisoning Johan for his crimes may prove difficult because of how law and justice is, but i think L would win some other way, even if its unconventional.

  11. I love all the comments and I’m a little late considering this video is 3 years old but when I think about matchups like this, I always think about the characters themselves instead of their feats. They’re both two insanely smart, isolated characters who don’t depend on anybody or any material concept. They move on pure instincts and critical thinking. That being put into perspective, I feel like if these two were to ever encounter, it wouldn’t be until it’s “that time” if you get me. Like a showdown finale. Because remember, these are two beings who can/do operate in both night and day but most importantly they DON’T show themselves, or barely rarely. So putting that into count, if L wanted to catch Johan, he would know he would have to wait til he has a credible source of who he is and what he’s doing. Which is going to take some time because Johan moves very cautiously but L is a soul of patience. If he tells himself he’ll catch someone, he’ll do it even if it means waiting a lifetime. But Johan doesn’t like being watched. He doesn’t like feeling like things aren’t going his way. He doesn’t like being countered. He will sense L but know he’s up against someone formidable. He will look at L as both a problem and an opportunity. As vice versa. So Johan will definitely come to the conclusion of wanting to kill L, so he’ll know he’ll have to meet him. And that’s the tricky part. You can’t just “meet” L, and you can say the same for Johan. They’ll leave eachother messages, clues. Luring the other out. Then they’ll eventually find one another in like a broken down building or something lol. Put in simple terms, they are two individuals who are in a whole different mental bracket battling it out for what they believe is true in the world. Justice or pure monstrosity.

  12. I definitely believe L has a chance, but it would challenge the very fabric of his skills and even beyond that. While Light was smart, he had supernatural elements on his side, and L pinned Light as Kira right away. Johan has none of that, yet he is so much more terrifying than a man who let his hubris get the best of him and easily at that. L Lawliet recruiting Tenma would be an incredible set up as well, because not only would he have incredible medical knowledge to back him up, but Tenma could also challenge L on his own world views and ideas.
