  1. Not being able to do everything / having limited time was breath of fresh air in Pathologic 2, it makes the hustle real lol. This game is probably more chill about time than P2, but it's cool to have some tension

  2. Put on max difficulty and many will never see any of this. I was on story mode yep bc I could. Unfortunately I beat the boss like in the vid first try looking around wondering was my game broke. Sure the mechanic is no different then in Cyberpunk dlc where you fafo and you no longer can play the dlc 😂. So after ruining the end I added a ton of mods 90 days and 16 segments infinite items etc. Now I'm enjoying the game as it was only meant to be played…on PC 😂

  3. So…your powers are restricted depending on if it's day or night and you're restricted from doing a complete playthrough because of a stupid timer. So you have to replay multiple times to do everything for…reasons? While not being able to use your cool powers whenever you want?
Thanks for the review. This game is not for me.

  4. So a fundamentally good game with a once again wasted Vampire premise. One day someone will realise the cool thing with vampires is the timelessness… But here and yet again like so many times before, the new young vampire rises in a short time window to beat the ancient big bad. Shame really, I mean I'll still paly it cause "good game" but still a shame.

  5. Good that I watched this, so I can finally decide, the game isn't for me. I already didn't like the combat mechanism. I also don't like anything vampire besides of WoD systems – that's the one I see fascinating, nothing else is even close to it. Also I hate time gating in games. So good to know this all to not buy the game. Thx!

  6. The Ideal Completionist Strategy

    1. Save on Day 29: Create a hard manual save.

Path A (The Good Ending): Go to the castle, finish the main story, save your family, and watch the epilogue

    2. Path B (The Revenge & Clean-up Run): Reload your Day 29 save. Let the timer expire so your family dies. The game will shift into the endless revenge storyline lifting the timer entirely. From here, you can freely explore the open world, finish every single remaining side quest maximize your skills, and earn the rest of your trophies at your leisure.

  7. I'm 18 hours in. The story, characters, writing are incredible. I also think the timer mechanic is cool.

Everything else though is….not great IMO. Movement is weird, combat is fun for a little bit but becomes a chore after about 10 hrs of gameplay. The abilities aren't that great or interesting. And outside of the meat and potatoes of quests…the open world is not really interesting either.

  8. The bug I saw version 1.01 when they happened. Memory use spiked from ~8GB and entering a cutscene it spiked up to 15GB giving me an out of memory error.

Most crashes I had were related to switching to cutscenes. During normal gameplay I can't recall having any?

  9. Not sure how people get so much time assuming 1 playthrough 65 hours?

Finished I guess 80% of the world stuff in about 17 hours, 23 ingame days.

And to get 100% completion you need more playthroughs. Just reading a book sometimes takes a chunk of time. Talking to some npc or saving/helping them.

I want to do everything in 1 playthrough next so gonna mod the game to 90 days.

I also killed xanthe? Long before I even attacked one of her camps… (Had to do something in a church and she was there..)

I maxed infamy and it closed the town 😂

  10. I love the game, I had fun playing through it, but how on earth did it take you 65 hours to finish your first playthrough? I tried to take take my time, completed many of the side quests including sword of Mihai and Arbiter armour completed one of the romances killed all the Boyars and defeated Brencis at level 42 with 7 days left on the clock and that's with the 16 time slot refund from Tsarina, got one of the good endings and at credit roll I was at just over 18 hours played.

  11. Thank you so much for mentioning the time constraint. That is a definite pass for me. I cannot stand timed games that limit how much I can explore or prevent me from doing what I want. I was having a hard time deciding which of a few new games to buy this week. Now I can scratch this one off my list. As I'll definitely be choosing a different game. Thanks again for pointing that out. You're the first reviewer I've seen thar has talked about it in depth.

  12. It bothers me way too much everytime i see him bite the enemy in the neck through chainmail on a leather around the neck.. makes no damn sense .. and the time limitation is bothering me alot too.. not that i even care much for his family.

  13. Hearing that you were able to complete all story sidequests, as well as a limited amount of treasure hunts and other side activities, within the allotted time makes me feel better about the enforced time limit. It feels like they wanted to create a game that could only be fully experienced through multiple playthroughs, but because so many of us don’t have the time for multiple 100+ hour playthroughs of each game, they found a happy medium that would give each type of gamer an enjoyable experience. Regardless of whether or not the experience is tailored specifically to my likes or not, I hope these devs find lots of success because we need more passionate devs who are willing to try new things.

  14. Such an amazing game. It's definitely not ideal for people with severe neurodivergent tendencies who can't breathe at night if they don't 100% the game while spending 870 hours in a soulless sandbox, but for normal people it's an amazing experience.

  15. Man hurry up and make videos on the different quest outcomes already😭. I was just playing around with the quest "A friend like this" (the first Lacra mission), and it kept changing drastically by just changing minor dialoges. Its completely insane! If there are no videos in 2 weeks i have to give into hunger😡

  16. I just wish the 30-day thing wasn't in the game. As much as I love games like this, I don't like having to skip content. But maybe I will pick up in a few months idk. Not something I will rush and get.

  17. I feel like this game would really benefit from a new game plus, so you'd have the freedom to explore all three skill trees without losing out. I can't wait to play it, I'm working my way through KCD right now, but I plan on tackling this in October as my Halloween game.

  18. The story and characters like you said carry this to the finish line for me, the abilities for a studio who made their first game are some of the best I've seen. Yes the animations are finicky but I have faith knowing some of the devs are from the witcher 3 these things are going to get ironed out in the next 3 to 4 months.

  19. Just sleep sometimes bro… sleep. 😂 the game was released just yesterday and you have already finished it 2 times?? 😂😂 sleep mate. And eat. And maybe follow the sun

  20. Just the review i needed to hear, im a witcher 3 fan so definitely going to buy it, just waiting for them to optimise it more, herd performance is divisive amoung people

  21. Love it! Feels like KCD2, love directional combat because it actually feels like real life where people attack from different directions. I know its a controversial combat system but i love it!
