3. I took Accutane in my late 40’s. I’m now 57. It was a game changer. You will be dry, but you can do it. My son also took Accutane. It was a game changer for him as a teenager

4. I’m sorry to hear about your struggle with acne. I don’t have any tips. Hope you find something that helps! Do you think the hormonal changes in perimenopause are contributing?

5. I had cystic acne as a teenager and there weren’t any good treatments then. As a result I have scarring on my back. My son also had cystic acne and his dermatologist put him on acutane. The only side effect he had was a very dry nose. It cleared up his acne and he was able to stop the drug. I suggest you follow the dosing that your dermatologist recommends. Don’t try to make your own up. It should clear up your acne for good if you do as your doctor suggests. It’s not really scary but get yourself some saline nasal spray in case your nasal membranes become dry.

9. I used accurate at 31 and I’m now 50. It changed my life. Before use I had face, chest, and back acne from 13-31. After the medicine no more acne ever! It was a miracle for me. It did dry out every orifice of my body during use. But that was the only side effect. So glad I did it. I was scared to do it given all the scary things, two forms of birth control and such. But it literally changed my life. All those years of acne had me all blemished up on my face, chest, and back. So I never wore low cut shirts or my back out. After I completed it and not getting the acne, all the blemishes went away over time. For the first time in my life in my 30s I was able to wear low cut shirts, my back out, and a clear face. I pray your results are the same!

10. Ask for wenlevi from your Derm for cystic acne!! Only thing that’s helped!! That along with Cleocin gel a few times a week!!! ❤
