NC State vs. Virginia Full Game Replay | 2026 ACC Football



NC State vs. Virginia: The Virginia Cavaliers got off to a quick start and held off the NC State Wolfpack for a 34-8 win in the 2026 season opener. Beau Pribula had a phenomenal game, running the ball effectively throughout the game and finished with 110 yards on the ground on 15 carries. The QB only attempted 11 passes but completed 9 of them for 155 yards with two scores in the win. Jekail Middlebrook ran the ball 15 times for 64 yards while Xavier Brown had 8 rushes for 40 yards with a score on the ground and one through the air for the Cavaliers. The UVA defense was stout and opportunistic as they stifled CJ Bailey and the NC State offense. Brandyn Hillman recorded an interception and a forced fumble that helped set the tone in the first half. Bailey finished the game 12-23 for 84 yards with an interception and a fumble in the loss.

  1. I have seen a lot of first game blues coming out of NC State over the decades. But their play on offense and defense in this opener was embarrassing! I didn’t know they had a JV team.

  2. I don't want to call them the darkhorse of the ACC because they did win 11 games last year. But man they were rarely talked about this offseason. They picked up a bunch of veteran players and their schedule is very favorable. Going to be interesting to see how this season turns out
