In this video we will meet the C-390 – the newest military transport aircraft created by the Brazilian Embraer in the 2010s. The feature of this project is that, being a mid-size military transport, it has the most advanced technical equipment in its class, as well as a jet power plant, which distinguishes it from most of its analogs – turboprops. In this niche, the Embraer C-390 is a direct competitor to the C-130 Hercules from Lockheed Martin – a veteran and the current absolute leader.

Looking it flying from the front, looks like a Badass airplane … Painted All Black it could be Batmans airplane !!
They should have given it a third engine in the tail stabilizer and increased the length! Otherwise you’re going to have a hard time displacing the old warhorse the C130. The 130 will probably be in production for another 50 years because it’s just so darn capable and reliable!

A EMBRAER fez o KC-390 para atender as exigências e necessidades do Exército Brasileiro. Por isso ele é multifuncional. Em apenas uma hora é possível mudar a configuração de Transporte de Carga, para Combate a Incêndio. Ou Avião Tanque para Reabastecimento de combustível. Ou para Resgate medico UTI VOADORA e Resgate de Acidentados. Ou para transporte de soldados e paraquedistas e Helicóptero. Dessa forma, nosso Exército pode usar um mesmo KC-390 para várias necessidades diferentes, sem a obrigação de ter um avião para cada configuração.
A EMBRAER começou como uma empresa pública militar. O primeiro avião construído foi o BANDEIRANTE, um avião para levar tropas pelo Brasil. Ela só foi privatizada muito recentemente.

My country, Greece, seriously considers buying 3 units because our 20 C-130 and 12 C-27 Spartan, the numbers slightly declined. In case we get 3 of those bigger transport airplanes, we'll close the gap. Commercial planes we just bought additional 43 units of A-321 Neo Airbus.
Partnerships are needed with countries that respect the national sovereignty of others… otherwise, you are partnering with the enemy!

Who the heck would call this “unsightly“? This plane is cool as hell.
I like it and I love the C-130, which I have 2000hours as crew in. Some have said the -390 is unsightly, I think the C-390 is very good looking and it looks the part of its function.
