The 2026 Acura Integra Type S combines track-capable performance with everyday comfort. With a tuned engine from the Civic Type-R, refined interior, and advanced technology, it promises a luxurious driving experience without sacrificing excitement, making it a versatile option for enthusiasts.
This Integra Type-S also uses the same engine that is found in the Civic Type-R but it has been tuned a bit by the Acura engineers. It develops 5 more horsepower for 320 hp & 310 lb-ft of torque (239 kW & 420 Nm). Will you notice the 5 extra ponies? Probably not. But you may notice the punchier mid-range acceleration compared to the Civic Type-R.
Unlike the standard Integra, the 2026 Acura Integra Type-S is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission. Like many other performance Honda transmissions, the shifter feel is wonderful. A precise and mechanical feel.
So, what does this blend of daily comfort and track-slaying performance cost? Well, it’s more expensive than when I last drove it almost 3 years ago. Today, in 2026, it starts at $58,400 CAD.

i'm really excited to see what they're going to do with the 2027 iteration of the type s. i've been driving my 2012 si since 2015 and want to upgrade (still keeping my coupe) to something more adult feeling. i was dead set on the type R but neither the FL5 or the FK8 truly caught my eye aside from them just being absolute beasts. as i'm soon to be entering my 30s, the type S just seems like the win. beautiful, the body is sporty but like luxury, the heated seats are a plus, and the 4-seater does not bother me one bit. i've used my 5-seater coupe like a 2-seater for so long. great review!!!
The FL5 and DE5 are the crown jewels of manual driver's cars. Nothing comes close to the gearbox, chassis, steering, road grip and brakes for this price. if you know you know.

Without cows memory seats and a sunroof this feels too expensive compared to a civic type r considering you’re missing out on some of the best seats ever in the Honda.

A great sports car has great sport seats, and the seats in this vehicle are truly terrible.
