Ppl have to remember that ultimately what a Different World did for us was allow us to see college before we got there. This generation coming needs this too. It’s not an easy task to re-create, build upon and keep up with today’s youth all in on show. If the new version looks too dated the younger ppl won’t watch the way we watched the original. Remember, we also watched b/c at the time it looked new, fresh and updated. We’re only looking back through the lens of time saying,”I want that good ol’ thang back” lol but it was VERY modern back then. I’ll give this show a chance. I just hope that the writers, producers and director keep the goal in mind…ELEVATE THE CULTURE in a clever, compelling and comedic way otherwise this won’t work. I’ll watch. I’m excited to see the original crew! ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉

I guess some people are missing that this isn't a remake of the original. It is a whole new show for this generation. And really this generation needs this kind of show. Because all that is on tv with a majority Black cast are shows like Power and the like. This show should be something different that touches on similar type of topics like the original show, but puts a spin on it for this generation.
