  1. So it’s 2026 in my world and all the TNG crew long gone. Terribly bad I was a little kid 89 and 10 when the TS series was airing weekly. I would spend a week with my aunt in Huntington, West Virginia sometimes a whole month and Sunday night was Star Trek night. She was a big fan. Also she drank beer sometimes too much and she would make me mock cocktails with cranberry juice and orange juice and little ice cubes. She froze that were plastic on the outside and frozen water on the inside with a little orange twist so I could feel like a grown-up. She was a widow and had two big German shepherds who were wonderful. I enjoyed very much my time spending the night or the week or the month at my aunt Catherine’s. I think a lot of the trips had to do with my mother struggles with alcoholism. By the time I was 10 my mother got sober and was sober for 50 years until she passed away, my aunt Catherine eventually died through an accident in her home where she fell down intoxicated, and when it’s unable to get up and died with no assistance available very tragic I can’t even imagine our last two days unable to get Help, but I remember her making me lots of crafts Cleveland Browns macramé little posters during the cardiac kids days eventually naming one of her dogs after me she had a new family of German shepherds for huge German shepherds. One of them named Bart after me that was my middle name Barton. They were huge the biggest German shepherds likely anywhere in North America. They stood nearly 3 feet at their backs, she had a nice fenced in rear containment area with a door in the house that went to the basement where they could go during rain, but at night they stayed in the house and protected my aunt Catherine at all times. They loved me and treated me like a member of the family anyway that was my introduction to Star Trek through my aunt Catherine and I never quit in the late 80s and early 90s. I was a huge TNG fan and I’ve seen every episode likely 10 times each maybe more and of course all of Picard I watched a few episodes of Deep Space 9 and Voyager but not a great deal of course in my 30s I watched any episode that Jerry Ryan was in I mean come on who wouldn’t lol SEVEN OF NINE was clearly 10 of 10 LOL . And I respected Jerry Ryan as a person and an actress. Her husband made unreasonable request of her and she sent him packing good for her. Why would any man wanna share a beautiful wife like that anyway my love is Star Trek will never cease I still watch episodes of TNT and Picard whenever I can in fact, I might start the Picard series again as soon as this podcast is over.. I’m not a big fan of Paramount+ because of their political leanings and helping a lunatic help take over our country and turn it into a terrible place that the world does not respect. But Star Trek is the only reason I keep it that in a few episodes of 1983 and the spinoffs I know I don’t even respect myself for that but I do it anyway.. thank you for this podcast. I enjoyed it very much huge Whoopi Goldberg fan actually maybe I’ll go watch jumping jack flash first. Great movie Whoopy kick butt that movie . B flat.

  2. A better explanation than I've heard anywhere, but it comes from the knowledge of a dialogue the rest of us never got to hear. 12:28. Cutting that scene really gave the audience no hint or clue. That also explains that Guinan alone had this power and not her whole species, as was later suggested in other series like Picard. If her whole species has some power that frightened Q, why couldn't her species prevail against the Borg?

  3. One of the few character they left opened and greatfully considering how badly they’re Wesley/Travellor story arc into Picard 🤮. Hope they leave her leave her character alone and let it rest.

  4. 1/ Hey Trek fam,

I've been deep in the Star Trek universe for years and finally put together a fan concept I've been dreaming about: Star Trek: Legacy – Echoes of Eternity.

It's built as a true generational hand-off — the USS Legacy crewed by descendants and chosen heirs of heroes from every era, with the past whispering guidance while the next generation steps forward.

2/ At its heart is a simple but powerful idea: Humanity is the Mustard Seed. Small today, but destined to grow into something that will one day surpass even the Q and the Borg.

Ancient entities are watching. Some want to help us rise. Others are desperate to stop us.

3/ I wrote a full series bible exploring how every era connects — TOS, Enterprise, TNG, DS9, Voyager, and beyond. Minor moments, unproduced scripts, and "what if" ideas all matter in this universe.

    Here’s a small taste — a teaser scene from Episode 1:

[Attach the Council teaser scene or the Q interrogation scene]

4/ The past isn’t just nostalgia. It’s alive. The future belongs to Jack Crusher and a crew where almost everyone has a hidden legacy tie.

Optimistic. Philosophical. Emotional. Built for longtime fans and new viewers alike.

5/ This is just one Trekkie’s passion project — a love letter to 60+ years of Star Trek.

Would you watch something like this?
What legacy characters or moments would you love to see honored or reconnected?

I’d love to hear your thoughts. Drop them below.

    Teaser 1: "The Council"

Star Trek: Legacy – Echoes of Eternity
    Teaser Scene – "The Council"

What if the legends never truly left us?

A young Jack Crusher steps into a hidden chamber… and finds a round table where the greatest captains and officers in Star Trek history are waiting.

    Some alive.
    Some long gone.
    All present.

They turn to him and speak:

“Welcome to the bridge of the USS Legacy.”

Then Q appears beside Kirk with a smile and says:

“The adventure… is only just beginning.”

    How is this possible?

What would you feel if you walked into that room?

Drop your thoughts below. I’m dying to hear your theories.

    ### Teaser 2: "The Mustard Seed" (Q Interrogation)

Star Trek: Legacy – Echoes of Eternity
Teaser Scene – "The Mustard Seed"

What if humanity finally managed to trap a god?

Q sits restrained in glowing quantum cuffs, looking genuinely unsettled for the first time.

    Q
    (trying to sound smug)
Well, this is new. How did a bunch of clever monkeys actually manage to trap me?

The Section 31 interrogator leans in.

    INTERROGATOR
We learned from every game you played with Picard. Every “accident.” Every duplicate you left behind.

Q tugs at the cuffs, uneasy.

    Q
    Impossible… You’re still ants.

Suddenly, a shimmer appears. Captain James T. Kirk materializes from the Nexus.

    KIRK
    (quiet, steady)
    Still playing games, Q?

Q’s eyes widen in shock. Then a slow, delighted smile spreads across his face.

    Q
Kirk…? You’re not supposed to be here. Not like this.

Kirk simply gestures. The cuffs unlock.

    Q
    (rubbing his wrists, grinning)
The Mustard Seed is sprouting faster than I expected. Are you here to scold me… or to join the game?

    KIRK
    (smiling)
I’m here to make sure the game doesn’t end before it truly begins.

    ### Teaser 3: "Whispers in the Dark" (Hollows)

Star Trek: Legacy – Echoes of Eternity
Teaser – "Whispers in the Dark"

Some shadows don’t just follow you…
    They get inside.

Ensign Eliana Riker walks alone down a dimly lit corridor. A faint moving shadow stretches unnaturally behind her.

Later, Elias Picard sits alone in his quarters, staring at his reflection.

    ELIAS
    (whispering, ashamed)
Why am I thinking these things? Why do I want to… hurt them?

For a split second, his eyes go completely black in the mirror.

On the bridge, the lights flicker. Every shadow on the ship stretches toward the crew like fingers.

    LIRA TROI
    (softly)
Something feels… wrong on this ship lately. Like a shadow that doesn’t belong.

    Voice Over (Nagilum’s cold tone):
“The seed is sprouting… but even the strongest tree can be hollowed from within.”
