Every time I watch Nene Royal perform with her own band, I feel like I get to see another side of her.
This was just FUN.
Nene looks completely at home on stage here. The way she interacts with her bandmates, works the crowd, moves around the stage, and somehow makes all of it look effortless gives her such a commanding presence. And I always get a kick out of seeing her dad hanging out in the background and rocking along with them too.
Vocally, I loved how much she manipulated her sound to fit “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” She can change the color and character of her voice without losing the emotion or impact of the song, and after everything I’ve heard from her so far, her versatility continues to be one of the things that impresses me most.
Now we’re only about 20 days away from Nene’s next live performance on America’s Got Talent, and I have a prediction.
I think she might show up with her band and play “Master of Puppets.”
They could absolutely save something like that for the finale and trust that she can ride this momentum through the next round first, but if they want to make a massive statement on September 22, that would certainly do it.

She does it all so easily, not perfect but damn good.
Hey going to mention it again since you raised the language thing, there are a couple of covers by Hagane the all-female Japanese Metal Band I have recommended that are truly impressive in terms of the musicians playing skills but especially due to the vocalist's command of the English vocals, some of which are hard for a Japanese native speaker. Likewise, I am not a fan of some of the songs, but Hagane changed my mind:

Not sure about the Ozone Band being included, the stage may get to them on the night, some of them are even younger than her and really so far, it has all been about her.
