At this point the schools have just become a joke. Kids basically run the school, there's no dress code, there's no disciplinary measures, The "no kids left behind" deal just keeps kids dumb. And then they go to university and it's just an indoctrination camp. The kids still don't learn anything and then they graduate and can't get a job so they move back in with mom.
I was on the admission committee for a major state university. They regularly are biased in favor of minorities and women.
Schools are being forced to do this to increase graduation rates so they can get funding. If the school doesn't have a high enough percentage of graduates, they lose accreditation, and thus, funding.

This has been going on forever! I graduated with people in1976 that couldn't read, do simple math, and don't even ask them the capital of their own state. Has gotten worse since then. Talk to some high school graduates but be careful, they will suck the intelligence right out of your mind!😡

America does not take education seriously. They only care about money.
There is nothing new about this. It’s been this way for years. I don’t see what the big deal is about. Once you graduate high school you either go to work or continue your education. As long as you can read, write, and count…let it be! That’s how I see it. Once the kids begin their careers, they’ll be ok. School isn’t everything.
Some kids actually need an additional edge to make it through! It also improves their self confidence. So let it be!

My kids did a credit recovery once but it was very strict. The teachers would question them on the material before the tests and make them take notes on everything. If they failed a section he would let them take it again until the next day after they studied their notes.
No phones allowed.
Black kids are notoriously famous for ruining the education system. Sure sue the schools. Black parents won’t change.

Now they are adults and held accountable for what nobody told them. "Nobody taught us this in school!" They will be 30 and realize what we all knew at 16 and 17. 😞
Credit recovery is also utilized in more schools than this District.
What part will these children play in society, when they don't have a proper education. It's SAD SMH and HEARTLESS😢 SAD the school districts don't give a hoot about the children 😢 It's happening in other schools nationwide 😢

Students don't master the subjects. Some students are so far behind, credit recovery is the only way they can graduate. This credit recovery "scam" is happening at a lot of schools.

Teachers are angry because kids are coming to school with zero respect for authority or simple rules 😴 I was negotiating every instruction with my 4yo until my husband and I were constantly arguing over boundaries. Where I taught high school, the principal could/would change grades without the knowledge of the teacher.

This is going on everywhere. If you look up the channel Teacher Therapy she interviews teachers who talk about how kids fail everything all year and the school threatens to fire the teacher if they don't pass them. It's bad
I’m with Wade I have 3 exceptional daughters who excelled in academic. I have a son I tried teaching and giving the world to none of it sticks mentally teachers just passed them on. I’m stuck with this clown at my job for the last 3 yrs caused 33,000 of damages he’s not fired because I’m the boss and owner.. dammit

My great nephew had 4 F’s in May but miraculously they became C’s by June. This isn’t helping anyone! He will never learn.this was in a Portland, Or school district.
