Reality Fracture has some interesting new mechanics and cards that can create some rules questions I’ve seen asked a ton. So let’s go over some answers to some of the most common rules questions I’ve seen and some weird rules interactions you may not have thought of or read the rulings on.

Won't replication technique make a copy yet the "LEGENDARY RULE " apply's because there the same one so you can't do the unless you destroy one
Someone needs to make an “Oops, All Jace” deck with Jace, Vryn’s Prodigy as the commander!
Empower Jace is such a flavor miss of a mechanic
I get that giving counters to existing Jace planeswalkers was too strong, and as such too narrow of a design space. So then, why even continue the mechanic like this anyway?
I don't feel like I'm empowering Jace, just a copy of him, for some meta-game reason
half of these can be solved by just reading the reminder text on the card
Jace affinity
Tokens: the Gathering
Complexity Creep. ArGHHH~ MtG Golden Ager for Life (2010-2013)
I'm pretty sure it doesn't lose its Jace subtype when becoming a creature, but doesn't get the loyalty counters because it isn't a planeswalker, although it has loyalty abilities.
Or maybe I'm wrong. :v
Thank you sage of wisdom. Many questions answered for me here!
does 'donatello, mutant mechanic' let those loyalty counters pass to the one of choice if you clone kill them?
Also worth noting that heartwood tokens are colored permanents despite the printed token not indicating that in any way
So if you turn a token jace into a creature using an artifact, can you then create a new token jace, unequip the artifact and have two token jace planeswalkers?
Of Heartwood tokens dont define colour identity, then kibo is Not Red Green
I thought this followed the same rules as kibo uktobi prince making it RG
How will Doubling Season interact with the "Empower Jace X"? Do we create multiple tokens and put twice X counters on each?
so this is more about the story of reality fracture, but like since jace made the echo-verse (IT'S LITERAL NAME) have a Gideon that DIDN'T die to save Liliana from Nicol bolas during war of the spark, HOW DID THEY DEFEAT NICOL BOLAS IN THAT TIMELINE?! like I guess maybe Liliana has the invincibility that Gideon did now but like did the same stuff happen then cause I don't see Chandra going anywhere outside of kaladesh willingly.
I didn't think the jace thing worked like that, that's sick!
Ok so I have a question. My friend plays Kibo, Uktabi Prince and the token formatting is the same there as for heart wood tokens. Does that mean that Kibo is a mono green commander?
Empower Jace is so bad
Can i get the rule # for the planeswalker creatures losing the name? For future reference 🙂
What a funny little planewalker shenanigan
Why would it make a new token Jace. The token is still called Jace?
What are the craziest interactions you can do with Luxior + Token Jace + Aetherspark?
Im immediately lost
Why did they give Chandra such a big nose
2026 and we still explaining the same rules over and over again
Empower Jace stinks.
What a bad mechanic.
Is the new fblthp a laboratory maniac effect or does the win the game only happen when you draw from its effect
Jace and their Evangelion Arc
I have a rules question that I'm not sure where to dig in to find exactly, but along the lines of the Luxior thing. If you equip it to a Jace, and then make a token copy of that Jace "creature", doesn't it make a Planeswalker with full starting loyalty? It SHOULD, right? Because the Jace is only a "creature" because it is equipped, but the card itself it still a planeswalker and that is typically what is copied (the base text of a card) when a token copy is put into play.
I'm thinking if it works the way I think it does/should, then empower jace is just insane slop and every Jace planeswalker is now just the nuts with a way to tutor the sword, and something like Impostor Syndrome out.
Lost me after the fourth Jace 🥹
I saw someone ask if Empower Jace would work well with Doubling Season because it’s non legendary, when I tried to explain that one would die because the counters only go on one of them they insisted that it wouldn’t die because it’s non legendary.
Hey I have a question. What was life like for you growing up
If I have oath of Gideon and populate a Jace token does it enter with 1 loyalty? If so are there any other cards like oath that let them enter with 1 loyalty
Can I use Baylen the haymaker to tap the token Jace? Assuming I have at least one other token to tap
Empower Jace is good with Jace mage of the mirror if you kicked it
