My son was born 4 months after I turned 19 and his daughter was born a week before he turned 19. That made me a 38 year old grandma.
Retired early give back to family
Does it count? That's his stepson's son. It's not very surprising in this case.
I looked after my grandson full time days while our daughter lived with us and helped her raise him from when he was 5 months old to 1yr old.
She was a single mother and recently separated.
The plan was for her to get re-establish, with a vehicle, a job and her own place.
She got a vehicle, got a job and got her own place. Having a plan worked.
It was definitely a lot of work for me. Would I do it again? Absolutely.

I think when it's stepchildren you can't really count it, as to do that you have to count your personal 'making of' the babies. That's no disrespect but keeps it true.
