At 6:08, did we only find current going through the 12 ohm resistor because in our initial diagram, we see Io last leaving the 8 ohm resistor? (knowing that the 8 ohm and 4 ohm were combined in series to make the 12 ohm resistor, so Io technically left the 4ohm and 8ohm resistor before combined into one resistor)?

Thankyou for these in-depth and concise videos. At 8:46 you mentioned that 2 ohm, 6 ohm and 18 ohm resistors make a Y. Can we use 2 ohm, 9 ohm, 6 ohm resistors as a delta to be converted to Y? Why or why not?
for the problem at the minute 6, can we also restructure the schematic to the Y one using the node b as the center? I noticed that the way you intuitively assumed the possible resistors in Y formation is by looking at the node where three resistors are connected to while the other ends of each resistor connecting to different nodes. I am sorry if it is confusing. My english is not the best.
