Even if I had Jay Leno’s collection of vehicles I think I would just drive some midsize SUV type to the grocery store or to the gym. No need for outlandish horsepower or some sort of engineering masterpiece to go 10 miles down the road in relative comfort and security.

In 1991 or 1992 when Ed Weaver of Chatsworth GA. The owner of Diamond Carpet Industry died Jay bought Ed’s Duesenburg from his car collectoin, Mr. Weaver also had in his collection corvettes from every year they were produced up to then other celebrities like Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson also bought cars from his estate. There were others as well but I can’t remember the rest, I lived 1 mile from the property the car collection was kept. I worked at Diamond Carpet at the time and got to go to the auction as well. Wow that was so awesome to see. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

In an engines class in college, the instructor said the Duesenbergs had the crank shaft counterweights drilled, a bit of mercury inserted, then sealed up. This made the engine smoother.
