As an Evangelical, I wept as the Priest was overcome by the Holy Spirit, revealing the marvelous gift Christ gave, on the cross by the shed blood for our sins. It was an unearned gift to him and to all of us who watch.

This was just one of the signs that GOD gave me to return to the Catholic church. Yesterday, I attended Catholic Mass for the first time in a few years. No regrets. The feeling of peace and contentment was felt a little while after I got home.

His emotions started right from the homily when he was giving reflections on the readings and the gospel. It was beautiful, profound and emotional 😢😢😢😢
This is why we should all be kneeling. When we receive jesus in the bread in blood. That sounds and yes, have gone to confession. At least in the past month to ensure our souls are clean to receive our divine lord.
I teared up watching Fr Bowman weeping at the altar & I believe Our Lord was sending His powerful message and grace to Fr Bowman at that point to all of us, that indeed He is present in the Blessed Sacrament! Every single day, we should thank God for His unfathomable mercies – we are all sinners but He is so forgiving!
Amazing and very touching moment…of course like Bro David says it happens at every Catholic Mass and mostly goes unnoticed.
Wish the priest had the maniple originally used by clergy to wipe away sweat from hard labor and tears during liturgical services.
Yet another reason why women must not be Catholic priests – can you imagine in the middle of this liturgical labor, the woman also experiences maternal labor – that would be wild and unfair to all womanhood everywhere and through history and through end of these times.

I witnessed similar effects of people going through conversion and when the repent and invite the Holy Spirit in have this experience. I had it several times in charismatic renewal retreats.

It was a table, the altar was behind the priest.
I have watched this several times. His hands were shaking so bad and as soon as he put the chalice down they stopped. Truly witnessed the Holy Spirit in him and the altar boy will never forget that. God Bless them both and the entire congregation.
I've felt the heat of Jesus all the way through my heart and abdomen during reception of The Holy Eucharist. Happens often. Praise You Jesus Christ,!

With respect, I believe father was having a crisis perhaps a mental breakdown. I would suggest that he speak with someone about this incident and perhaps anything else that would be bothering him.
The Gift of Tears like St. Ignatius of Loyola.
He has done the Consecration since his Priesthood, and this is the first time he has experienced the full weight of Jesus’ Words and the ttue meaning behind it.
Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. The Altar server was so composed like he sees this every week.

My heart melted……it was like the priest experienced the agony in the garden.
The Catholic theology on the Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane emphasizes the profound spiritual and emotional experience of Jesus as he faced the impending suffering of the cross.
That was so powerful! I teared up and gazed at my Crucifix and prayed to our Father and our Lady to protect him from Satan. Everyone get to confession and mass!
