At noon today, San Bernardino County Fire responded to a commercial structure fire in the 200 block of North G Street in the city of San Bernardino. Multiple callers reported smoke coming from the second story and roof of a building.
Firefighters arrived at an abandoned bank with a history of previous fires. Bystanders reported a person trapped on the second floor. Crews instituted rapid attack simultaneously entering the building from the second and first floors. A search of the building confirmed that there were no occupants. A moderate sized debris fire was located on the second floor.
While truck companies opened up the roof to release smoke and heat from the concrete structure, firefighters advanced hose lines to the upper floor and extinguished the fire in approximately twenty minutes.
No injuries were reported to civilians or firefighters. Investigation into the cause is ongoing through County Fire’s Office of the Fire Marshal.

That first due engine looks alittle close to the building. We aim for at least 1½ x building height. Strong work gentleman.
Thanks.
