Wystawa czasowa „George Sand (1804–1876). W kalejdoskopie życia i sztuki”, organizowana w 150. rocznicę śmierci pisarki, odkryje przed gośćmi Domu Urodzenia Fryderyka Chopina w Żelazowej Woli mało znane wątki z jej życia. George Sand, wielbicielka talentu Fryderyka Chopina, wspierała artystów, szanowała i chroniła przyrodę, interesowała się sztuką. Liczne pasje Sand wciąż rezonują w postaci jej oryginalnej twórczości literackiej i epistolograficznej, w jej akwarelach, w tym unikatowych dendrytach, zielnikach, a nawet w przedmiotach codziennego użytku.
Po raz pierwszy w Polsce w ramach jednej wystawy zostanie zaprezentowanych ponad 100 obiektów z najważniejszych europejskich kolekcji związanych z George Sand i Fryderykiem Chopinem:
Muzeum Fryderyka Chopina, Narodowy Instytut Fryderyka Chopina, Warszawa
Maison de George Sand, Nohant-Vic, Centre des monuments nationaux, Paryż
Musée George Sand et de la Vallée noire, La Châtre
Maison de George Sand, Gargilesse
Kolekcja Boutroux-Fèrra, Valldemossa
Wystawa będzie dostępna do niedzieli 10 stycznia 2027 r.

The temporary exhibition George Sand (1804–1876). In a kaleidoscope of life and art, organised to mark the 150th anniversary of the writer’s death, will reveal little-known aspects of her life to visitors to the Fryderyk Chopin Birthplace in Żelazowa Wola. George Sand, an admirer of Fryderyk Chopin’s talent, supported artists, respected and protected nature, and took an interest in the arts. Sand’s many passions still resonate in her original literary and epistolary works, in her watercolours, including unique dendrites and herbariums, and even in everyday objects.
For the first time in Poland, over 100 objects from the most important European collections associated with George Sand and Fryderyk Chopin will be presented in a single exhibition:
Fryderyk Chopin Museum, Fryderyk Chopin Institute, Warsaw
Maison de George Sand, Nohant-Vic, Centre des monuments nationaux, Paris
Musée George Sand et de la Vallée noire, La Châtre
Maison de George Sand, Gargilesse
The Boutroux-Fèrra Collection, Valldemossa
The exhibtion will be available to the public until Sunday 10 January 2027.

Not a word about her bisexuality . Her identity formed her creativity. This backwards presentation is missing her essence.
