  1. They got it right…..when the ball was snapped at 9 seconds it immediately went to 8 seconds ,,,how does that happen… that was one fast second…the clocks were not synced …..look at it and then comment…was that a fast second of the clock?

  2. When my brother and I would play games together, at the end he'd always throw the dice or flick the pointer carelessly. If he got the results he wanted, it was a good throw/flick, otherwise it was a do over. Michigan is my big brother, WMU was me.

  3. What a couple of Michigan fanboi hacks. Ohhh it would be so troublesome to change the result! Getting the correct result is paramount. The big 10 and Michigan have 0 credibility right now.

  4. I think that the NCAA should be investigated as well should the referees. Michigan has NOT properly been PUNISHED from their sign steeling to this win with clock discrepancies. Other teams have had more sever penalties for lesser infractions. This has become a Joke!!

  5. According to my understanding, by rule, the NCAA can't officially reverse the result of a game for any reason, and there are no exceptions. (They can retroactively make a team vacate their wins if they determine that they were violating a rule, but that doesn't mean awarding the win to the other team, and plus, that doesn't apply in this case because Michigan didn't do anything wrong.) I don't think they should make an exception to this rule because I think it would undermine the integrity of the game, and it would set a precedent for people appealing literally every loss where an official made a contraversial call at any point. However, I would not be opposed to the college football playoff committee basically pretending that Western Michigan won. For example, if Western Michigan finishes the season 12-1 with this being their only loss, the committee can rank them as if they finished 13-0. Or, if Michigan finishes the season 10-2, the committee can rank them as if they finished 9-3. Now, you could argue that if they do this for this game, they have to do it for every other game that was affected by a contraversial call. However, there are multiple things that make this different other games. One, we can be absolutely certain that Western Michigan would've won if the right call had been made. Other times, the contraversial call happens with like 17 seconds left, and there's at least some possibility that the winning team could've won anyway, and it would be unfair to them if they weren't given that opportunity. Two, the error in this call wasn't a simple misjudgment of what happened. It was a failure to meet the proper protocols in the replay process. They used the wrong clock. And the fact that this was a Big 10 crew makes it even more sketchy. I think when I do my fanmade rankings later on in the season, I'm going to pretend that Western Michigan won this game.

  6. So basically the refs said MICHIGAN SUCKED at playing, their QB sucked during the game so we had to make up a fake statement to try and pull out a win for Michigan of which we did.
These Refs should be banned from games for the rest of the season

  7. I dunno from the clip they showed at the beginning, he jumped while out of bounds and when he caught it, it was still showing 1 sec……. The refs might’ve got it right. Unless the clock displaying isn’t the right one.

  8. This reminds me of controversial "interception" last year in the Broncos-Bills game because it exposes a clear contradiction in the rule book. The argument for putting 1 second back on the clock is because the defender went out of bounds and then touched the ball, making the play dead immediately rather than when the ball hits the ground. The rule states:
A ball not in player control, …, is out of bounds when it touches the ground, a player, a game official or anything else that is out of bounds, or that is on or outside a boundary line
Either this rule is contradictory to the rules of a catch, or there have been hundreds or thousands of wrong calls made on the field throughout football history. Every single pass play where a receiver is attempting a catch, but has not yet "established possession" or fulfilled all the requisites for a catch, where an out of bounds defenders simply touches the ball, should be ruled an incomplete pass per the rulebook.
So just like the new meta on training defensive backs on deep routes should be to wait for the receiver to make a play on the ball and then go for the ball, land on the receiver, and pull the ball away as you're rolling over them for an easy interception, the new meta for defending sideline throws should be to make sure to establish yourself out of bounds and then simply touch the ball before the receiver fulfills all the requirements for completing the catch. By the rule the play should be immediately over and ruled incomplete even if the receiver ends up completing the catch afterwards.

  9. If Kyle Whittingham has any integrity at all, he should concede Western Michigan's win. Whatever the NCAA decides, the polls should reflect a Michigan loss and a Western Michigan win.

  10. as usual when one of the NCAAs favored universities, Michigan is given a gift from the crooked NCAA. This was 100% a loss for Michigan, but the NCAA decided it would be in their best interest to steal the game from Western Michigan.
The only real "REVIEW" came from Vegas and the greedy whores at the NCAA caved.
I used to watch college football because it was played for the love of the game & for your university …now it's just another corrupted betting contest with Zero credibility…..done with college football, I'll watch paint dry instead

  11. Ensure you give Georgia Tech their W while you're at it. Because two fumbles were just ignored. I love both Michigan and Colorado but fair is fair. Like which reality are we following?

  12. Issac Punts @IssacPunts put out a really good video explaining what happened. There's footage from the field, the game clock on the giant screen actually does match what the refs were seeing. NBC's clock was actually off. I hate Michigan as much as the next person, but they did win this one fairly.
