A suitcase containing $60,000 is accidentally thrown into Jane Palmer’s car, giving her a chance at the fortune she has always wanted. But when gangster Danny Fuller comes looking for the money, Jane decides she will do whatever it takes to keep it.

Greed quickly turns deadly as Jane begins a ruthless struggle to protect the cash, betraying those closest to her and resorting to murder when anyone threatens to take her fortune away. 1. 10/10. Oh this is a belter!! I watched it a few months ago on another channel (having seen it originally when I was a teen) but it's absolutely fantastic – powerful, gripping and atmospheric. Arthur Kennedy is one of my favourite actors who never got the recognition he deserved IMHO and Lisabeth Scott smoulders as always. Just watch it.

  2. I've watched this movie dozens of times. I have it on DVD. It is in my top 5 favourite films noir. Wonderful. Such great lines like:'At the risk of seeming tedious, just where did you stash my cash? ', and 'Stalling, honey? 'What do I call you besides stupid?' 'Stupid will do, if you don't bruise easily,' and many more.'. Lizabeth Scott and Dan Duryea make a great team. Thanks so much.
