The New York Times Maggie Haberman explains that her book Regime Change went deep into the behind-the-scenes workings of Trump’s administration and why this second term is different from the first: a much smaller inner circle makes decisions, dissent is largely absent, and even key officials can be kept out of critical planning because of leak fears. She says the book shows how the administration repeatedly pushes extreme ideas, like the Insurrection Act or suspending habeas corpus, as “loaded weapons on the shelf,” while also noting there is no reporting that such a move is being discussed for Election Day. On the midterms, she argues Trump tends to keep pushing until he can’t, but he appears more focused on legacy, power, money, and attention than on another term, and she believes he doesn’t fully process what the next two years will look like.

Is there some reason that Maggie always whispers?
Judge Luttig has discussed the great possibility that Mike Johnson and Trump will try a scheme to not allow the elected Democrats to take their seats on Jan 3rd . He discussed this on Jim Acosta show. Another Jan 6 .
Ugh not maga haberman
I cannot STOP REREADING Regime Change! Thank you for your personal sacrifices to write it. ❤
Molly – Your shows are a little short . Any chance of bumping up the episodes to 30 min. or so ?
Maggie you talked about non-fiction being dead now and I have to say growing up and until maybe 5 years ago that's all I read was fiction. I was an avid reader but non-fiction wasn't my thing. I'm 72 now and all I buy anymore are non-fiction books. I should also say that I just ordered a novel that Anne Applebaum recommended called the Whistler. I am looking forward to reading that after I finish your book Maggie. I'm almost halfway done and it is a wonderful read and a great tribute to you and Jonathan's reporting and investigating skills. Thank you! And to you Molly, I love hearing what you have to say both on MS NOW and your podcast.
Why end in the middle of a sentence?

Way too many commercials!
Great piece, too many commercials.
Conservatism is hopefully dead. Or dying despite what online and Christian right movements try to make us think. Unless another Trump arises.
It seems Trump thinks if he asks five times, he’ll get what he wants…. And sometimes, it works !!!
More like Maggie Stammerin’. Make a definitive statement for the love of God!
I know you want to sell your book, but why didn’t you reveal this so we would have had more information out to the public before he was reelected? It really bothers me that this information that was available to you didn’t go out sooner.
I worry about not installing the new congress in Jan '27.
Trump and his cult will do anything and everything to steal our 26 election!!!
Why isn't he more afraid of a Democratic takeover? I get that he doesn't care if republicans win, in fact he wants them to lose when he's not on the ticket because he hates them all too. But WHY are we so little of a threat to him? I guess cause impeachment means nothing to him. Does he know about the conviction and removal bit?
January 3rd will be the new January 6th.
yes
HABERMAN IS A TRUMP ENABLER AND NORMALIZER
SHE HELPED GET HIM ELECTED
NOT TOO BE TRUSTED
God, I really can't stand Maggie Haberman. From the time she had hooked up to Trump as the "end all' reporter who knew him better than anyone, she used her rather off-putting personality as an act, and it quite taken with her supposedly "unique" status. Ugh.
Love you Molly, but commercials running 1 min to 1 1/2 apart is too much. Unwatchable.
Weird way to end the video
Is he the Antichrist or the Beast?
Old news
How 'bout not sitting on important information just to make a buck?
You have to remember that Maggie is all about Maggie.
I did not watch the entire segment because YT kept throwing up the same ad every minute.
Sorry, I normally enjoy your work but this was a total buzz-kill.
OMG!!! Every f*ing 1:30, I got an an to ‘save time’ (!!!) with GEICO! OK, Geico, I am never, and I mean never ever, going to buy anything from you!!! WTF!!!
And you, MJ-F, please less of the ads!! If this weren’t so important, I’d have stopped listening… As it is, I’m going over to the podcast as it’s SO ANNOYING!!!
This woman is partially guilty of bringing us Trump. If she had done her job in 2016 we wouldn't be here now. So I don't believe anything she says.
Trump is counting on Mike J. not seating the democratic elects in congress, suggested by Judge Ludtig.
The claim of election integrity is the desired outcome of tRump’s election denying con.
In contrast, anyone who wants to be a leader should anticipate AI interference creating deep fake data hacks while it adapts to new types of voting computers; at the same time it is self-coding not to skew exit polls or show up in sample audits, and to self-erase to avoid detection.
Finally, all democrats who want to be leaders should pay attention to Election Truth Alliance about red flags of voting switching in nonhuman patterns since twenty sixteen.
Having the strength of character to challenge close elections running against the GOP not to deny elections but to ensure accuracy should be a requirement of any democratic candidates until election reform is established always to ADD hand counted to verify early digital tabulation results in the age of AI.
The book brings all his criminality to light which begs the question if everyone is aware of it why aren't criminal charges being brought against him?
Maggie haberman being naive thinking that the Supreme Court wouldn’t be okay with suspending habeas corpus. So naive
Did this video abruptly end for anyone else? 🤔
Why did the video end so abruptly?
