The F-22 Pilot Iran Never Saw Coming

On November 1, 2012, two Iranian Su-25 attack jets fired on an unarmed U.S. MQ-1 Predator drone flying over international waters in the Persian Gulf, the Pentagon said. The drone was not hit, and American fighters began escorting the drones. On March 12, 2013, an Iranian F-4 Phantom came within about 16 miles of another Predator and broke off after a warning. Six months later, Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Welsh told what happened at the Air Force Association conference: Lt. Col. Kevin “Showtime” Sutterfield, flying an F-22 Raptor, flew under the Iranian jets to check their weapons without them knowing he was there, pulled up on their left wing and told them, “You really ought to go home.”

  2. If you are on patrol and see an American anything, in the sky. Know that he is not alone. You are being watched and at any moment you could have a Raptor on your six! Best go home!

  3. There is no military on the planet that is even close to the same class as the U.S. Military. Every branch is composed, confident, capable and extremely lethal.

    No one is close.
