Rams ‘outdone every way’ by 49ers, Purdy ‘fantastic’, Patriots in trouble without A.J. Brown? | FTF

The San Francisco 49ers beat the Los Angeles Rams 27-7 in a dominant game by Brock Purdy. Nick Wright, Chris Broussard, and Kevin Wildes ask if Rams fans should be concerned, if Brock Purdy proved doubters wrong, and if the New England Patriots are in trouble without A.J. Brown. Plus, they ask what a great Week 1 performance from Patrick Mahomes would mean for the Kansas City Chiefs, and if Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills can beat the Houston Texans.

  1. When I heard the Rams were playing the 49ers here in Melbourne some months ago, and all the hype about the invincible Rams going unbeaten – I was genuinely worried about the Niner's getting blown out. Then I heard the Rams were going to do the "fly in-win-fly out" plan. And that the Niners would be here for a week to prepare. I don't normally bet – I thought I should put a bunch of money on the Niners winning. Why? I live here. I've flown in and out many times form Europe and the United States. You can be physically fit to your peak and draw up the great schemes for what you want to do as soon as you arrive but you can't execute anything at all when your head is in the fog of jet lag. Matthew Stafford looked like he was completely bewildered. So did the rest of the team. By the second half they looked completely fried. That's not sports science – that's culpable ignorance. I enjoyed the Niners respecting the real conditions. And the incredible returns of Fred Warner, Dre Greenlaw, Nick Bosa, Deebo Samuel – the addition of Mike Evans – the Kaelon Black, Christian McCaffrey duo – and Brock Purdy's QB masterclass. Respect.

  2. Nick is a clown.. he should worry about KC QB situation. How long can they keep saving Mahomes. Was 3-13 to start the game and KC doesn’t want to throw down field. They just ran the ball and threw 3-5 yards every play. Worry about that NICK

  3. The niners really should have scored 30 cause of the missed field goal, and i almost guarantee they would of had another field goal on that last drive, but they didnt need it so they didnt go for it. So i really view the niners scoring 33 not 27

  4. lol did Nicholas Wrong just suggest that the Rams threw the game so the 49ers would get hurt sooner? I have never heard that one before, for a division rival. What a dork.
