This is the new Porsche 911 GT3 S/C, and might it be the worst 911 GT3 ever? Sure, all the usual GT3 ingredients are there, from a 503hp flat-six that screams to 9000rpm, to a manual gearbox that drives the rear wheels. But something’s also missing, and that’s the roof – because the S/C is really a 911 GT3 Cabriolet by another name. Has Porsche forgotten the motorsport-inspired ethos of its GT department and ruined the 911 GT3?

The worst 911 GT3 ever, or the best open-top sports car you can buy?
Looks like u weren't paid enough by porsche 😂
Finally, Porsche has produced a car that will finally pull proud and superior Boxster owners over to the 911. The new moniker of "Rich man's Boxster" is looming
Is it smaller ???
Dumb video.
Don’t cry you are in an insane car with alot more noice than the normal gt3
That’s one of the best looking Porsche’s available today imo
اگر من وارد خودتان کنید در سطح بالا مشکلات برطرف خواهد شد پس هوشمندانه انتخاب کنید نه درگیر چیز عاید نمی شوید
Are you also critical of a GT3 Touring? It’s also a compromise.
Even a GT3 is a compromise, do you judge GT3 owners? Shouldn’t they be driving a GT3 RS? Or a GT3 Cup?
Is this guy always such a deuche bag?
That engine could already be enjoyed in a 718 Spyder RS for over 3,5 years now.. If it's open top you want..
Terrible review.
It’s not for track.
Drive it on the roads.
Well, they've gotten to the point where they're trying to milk every last customer.
Most of these cars are bought by people who will never take them anywhere near their limits anyway – its just a point scoring exercise down the golf club
Building a GT3 for people who want to enjoy open-air mountain roads instead of a track isn't a bad thing; it's just a different thing.
Worst GT3 for the UK maybe 🌧… but anywhere else with decent weather (Australian here), this could be the one.
01:30 the presenter says "Porsche never do half a job" conveniently forgetting the shocking problems of "D Chunk" cylinder failure, IMS bearing failure & bore score plaguing the M96/7 engines cars & now becoming an issue in 9A1 engine cars. Also the growing issues with turbo failure on the current 3 Litre twin turbo engines in the 991.2 onwards.
I fully agree, this car is all wrong. It makes no sence to build a GT cabrio with two seats. Cabrio should be a 2+2. If you build a two seater convertible witGT caracter, why isn't it a Speedster!?
Pop up spoiler. Stupid. An unnecessary gimmick that needs to go away forever.
It's not like Porsche replaced the winged coupe or automatic spoiler touring versions with this. They added some flexibility for those of us who LOVE convertibles.
I've never felt Porsche could solve the styling of a drop-top 911. They always look like a compromise with the roof down and for that reason I'd never have one even if it drove better than anything else on the planet.
What is the issue? I really do not like this take. The GT3 is a roadcar, and modern convertibles offer almost zero compromise chassis wise. I've taken a 992 GTS cab on track and honestly couldn't believe how good it was, and I've raced GT3 Cup. I can only imagine this is better. I am glad this car is not that popular as it will be the most popular non-exclusive 992 in 10 years time. Hopefully they get cheap so I can buy one.
absolutely unskippable title
Remember when Top Gear had charismatic presenters and wasn't like every other car channel on YT?
What a tool.
This is perfect Porsche for me
It's epic🎉 don't forget motorsport roots are actually mostly open top race cars from the 50s, not?
Reminds me of when Jeremy Clarkson not feeling well saying silicone carbide…
Porsche is hurting financially. Too many mistakes especially going head long into Europe green nonsense. We don’t want it! Let’s watch for future mistakes within the euro Twinkies world. 🤪🤪🇺🇸
If you think your a funny with your comments, I was laughing all the way while push the button ‘do not recommend this channel’
I want one. Just love this car. That's the color, the wheels, everything.
What was the point of the tone of this video, it's as if the last 911 Speedster wasn't made out of the GT department lmao; the reason why this new one wasn't a Speedster because these pompous owners kept saying the top was too hard for them to put down and up so they just made a regular Cabriolet top
ALWAYS SAME BODY LANGUAGE…NO NEW MODEL LIKE 918 SPYDER
So nonsense! This has been researched over and over again and there is no evidence that this is a man made structure.
This is NOT a credible research body. This is a religious group masquerading as a scientific body.
I’ve never seen the point of a convertible track focused sports car. It’s counterintuitive given the purpose of the car. If you want a convertible to enjoy driving around town you don’t want something with a harsh ride and if you want to track it you don’t want to do it in a convertible.
BEST GT3 Ever!
Everything is better without the top.
Wow this guy is trash eh
That car looks amazing
This is the greatest Gt3 full stop ! No one gives 2 f*cks about percentages and tenths of the seconds… but everyone wants 9000rpm with no roof 😮💨🤌
What a crap review. You just came to sh*t on the car. Unsubbed
I’m not a fan of this car. If the car was a GTS or anything else it would have passed but sticking a GT3 badge on it – I can’t forgive it – the car seems accomplished and beautiful, it’s not worthy of the badge
It’s a great new addition to sports car rental fleets
The GT3 badge is turning into the ///M badge.
I want this car.
This Porsche nerdery is cringe now. I’m bored. They should take a risk and change the look of the 911 it’s time. That car shouldn’t have the Gt3 badge either
25 seconds in switched off
Doesn't seem like the reviewer understands the audience for this car
