how do you know what size strips to use I have the 7 12 in I got no real directions because its a no name ruler. is there a place to get more directions?
GOOD COLORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very pretty.
Is this ruler no longer available
I'd love to know what size the finished quilt is, that you made here, Jenny. I am planning on doing one and I'd like to pre-judge how much batting and backing to get.
your blocks are 5 inches each? I don't know for sure, so I can only guess the squares behind you. Thanks so much!
If u don't have that ruler how could it be accomplished
Easy enough to do with any square ruler that fits your strip set. Just mark the 'diagonals' with tape on the underside of the ruler
Lindo projeto muito bem explicado parabéns

i want to know where you can buy the template for x block quilt
Is it actually a 45 degree cut?
Hi Jenny, I have been searching MSQ for this pattern and can't seem to find it??? Is there a pattern? Thanks
What is the size of the finished block?
Por favor como conseguir la regla….p favor…
Buenos días mis queridos guapos que paséis un buen día…. Un abrazo para todos….,❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘
como hiciera para adquirir la regla X-Block
Thank you for the video I bought theXBlocks in Boston many years ago and I lost the instruction…
Love this pattern and I love using up my jelly rolls that I buy on impulse when I fall in love with the colors and prints. Thanks Jenny! The one I am currently working on I decided to sash. The next one I have planned will be like the tutorial without sashing and in creams and blues. The ruler will get much use. Great purchase for me.
Hey there Jenny. I was watching this tutorial and noticed that the blocks were wavy. Does this make the whole quilt harder to quilt at the end of the day? Obviously not otherwise yours wouldn't be hanging on the wall, but I'm just a bit concerned about making it. I just love it so much. Jan
Has this been featured in Block magazine?
Hi i'm new to sewing and I would like to learn but after we finish the assembly of the quilt how to you to the back? and do we have to stuff the quilt? is there a tutorial for making the finition? Thank you
This quilt was soooo easy and yet looks so complicated. Love, Love LOVE it!
Can you make a smaller quilt?
So am currently working on this quilt. Was finding that cutting the blocks was quite fiddley. So I looked at the video again. I see the difference. With ruler right side up, because you're left handed you actually have a nice starting point for your cut because the tip of the ruler is at the bottom of the strip. For a right hander if you cut ALL your blocks with the ruler upside down, or so the writing is backwards, you'd have that nice starting point for the first cut. The important thing is that you either do them all with word up or all with words down. The block will look the same, one will just radiate the star points clockwise the other counterclockwise, but the contrasting X's will appear the same. Mine is coming right along!
Ameiiii
To cut the jelly rolls is it 2 1/2inches or more to get the right size of the quilt as you have to make a quarter inch seam let me know if you can from Christina
Thank you for another great lesson! Your efforts are greatly appreciated! I have learned sooo much from you & your friendly, kind personally is such an extra blessing! I make a couple of every block & make a quilt out of my favorites. I can't make that many quilts fast enough! I'm looking forward to your next video. God Bless!
Jenny, Can you make this block (or something similar) with the Twister ruler, like you used for that jack-o-lantern quilt?
my ruler arrived only a couple of days before your video jenny…you could not have timed it better!!! i have done a lap quilt and love it…can you please do a video with the baby xblock ruler …..
Hi again! I went to MSQC to put the ruler on my wish list, only to find it's no longer offered there. Of course that caused me to swoon in anguish. Is there still hope that it will come back? My swooning couch is sodden with hopeless tears!
Love your tutorials and the X block. Imagine my surprise to see 4 additional demos on the X Ruler this week alone by other quilt ing instructors.
Love this block…but what size block does it make?
Hahahha. Opinionated seams. So true!
unfortunatly i didn`t find the ruler in the shop!!
Where can I get this ruler? Love the quilt, but the ruler is "currently unavailable" on your site. Thanks!
I made several of the blocks from the tutorial, but found the BasiX ruler unnecessary. I used a 5" square ruler with the diagonal lines on it, and it worked just like the BasiX ruler.
I love when the squares put together make a secondary pattern. This is a beautiful quilt. And the colors are so pretty.
is this tool the same as the twister block tool? looks very similar.
If you look differently at the quilt you can see a white pinwheel 😉
The Basic ruler isn't available on your site, couldn't find it anywhere!
