It is 100 percent the Xbox controller. This is a common issue with the oem controllers made by Microsoft. I've been through four or five controllers. Since day one of the x and s release there's something wrong with the controllers. Idk if it's hardware or firmware.
9/10 it's the garbage 3.5mm jack in the controller.
