A 28-year-old lab researcher at a Russian institute dedicated to studying plague and dangerous pathogens died of pneumonia of an “unknown” origin. The Irkutsk Research Anti-Plague Institute operates in Siberia, where several other people are quarantined. Rospotrebnadzor, the Russian agency that oversees infectious disease, has downplayed the link between the researcher’s death and her work, but the case has prompted questions about the type of plague that causes pneumonia.
Pneumonic plague is a rare, deadly lung infection caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis. Scientists consider pneumonic plague the most dangerous form of the infection. CNN speaks to medical experts on the researchers death and if there should be greater concern.

Russia is known for us. This is way past China X when you are failed president who will be floating in the reflection I put myself at Brooke a Lori.
The USA government does not want to release this information at #CNNYouShouldBeAshamedOfYourself
You can’t stay or stop the spread of a predictable element. That’s broken outside of its containment philosophy 101 thank you.

biological weapon research let loose
This sounds like the beginning of a zombie outbreak to me.
Hundred percent Donald Trump paid to have this done probably so he could stay in office
What I find questionable is that a young healthy experienced person worked in a lab handling dangers material and
1. She supposedly broke a test tube
2. She wasn't wearing protective gear head to toe
3. She didnt immediately receive treatment
4. She died within about a week
5. A 2nd person has died
So many unanswered concerns that I have yet to hear any answer!!
Woman coughed on a maus
The fact this happened after covid….. and China or whomever took a mild covid and made it deadly tells me people better be ready to isolate again.
People I would not trust the media. Have a plan. Better to be prepared and nothing happens than wake up and there's 100s of cases nearby and surprise a shortage of antibiotics. Covid sure the hell looked like a practice run.
I just believe the opposite of whatever mainstream media says and thats how i get truth.
News from Russia no one is taking about, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEmfsmasjVA
A made up plague to stop American elections maybe. Did they stop mail in ballots or said they would then changed their mind.
Covid 19 THEN HANTAVIRUS NOW THIS BULLSHIT?
Could be she died to keep her from spreading a different report of what it was. Maybe it was bio-chemical warfare & it is worse than we're told. No, we don't want the world to panic. Why should it? The plagues are prophecied in the Bible. Expect them to come! 😮 😮 😮
Fsb sacrificed that lab worker so the can spread the outbreak in Europe because they're losing their war with Ukraine badly.
The news media has lost all trust.
RFK jr sent $800k to this lab
Nice way to fuck with our election !!!
If it was nothing, China, Mongolia and Kazekstan close all borders! Dont believe their lies! It is NOT contained and its worse than Covid. I bet they spliced them together to kill more people!
The WHO said, Russia is not giving them any information. They are hiding everything. They requested the lab worker's test resulting proving what she died from and Russia wont even send them that. So obviously, they are hiding the truth. Why would Moscow be taking temperatures and handing out masks on all planes, trains and vehicles entering? That far away? Something is not adding up. Not to mention the deaths and full hospitals all along the border with the lab!
I’m a long retired MD and I know both sides of this oh so common story. I graduated from med school in 1980 and was in practice during the OxyContin/Vicodin promotion years of the late 90s early 2000s. My personal experience with opioids began when I was prescribed Darvon(propoxyphene) for dysmenorrhea as a young teen, before the effective NSAIDS, like ibuprofen, became available. It helped with the cramps but gave me such a pleasant sense of well being that I looked forward to my periods. At some point in my later high school years I had a severe ear infection and was given what was probably Demerol (meperidine). That definitely helped the pain but it gave me such severe nausea that I never finished the bottle. I’ve heard Demerol referred to as “an emetic with mild analgesic properties”. I went to college in the hippie 60s but I was more interested in sex than drugs (amazingly Im still married 50 years later to my first husband). Along the way I had a few injuries or illnesses for which I was given either a prescription nsaid or sometimes codeine. Darvon had fallen out of favor due to liver issues and I knew I couldn’t tolerate Demerol, unless it was with an antiemetic. After med school and residency (graduated 1980, internal medicine residency completed 1983) I did a few months of ER medicine then settled into primary care. I saw some “drug seekers” whom I learned to spot but I know for sure I was also responsible for a handful of people becoming addicted to Demerol or codeine. However as more and more effective NSAIDs came online I prescribed them more and more. We would get samples of each new one
Clinoril, Feldene, Zomax Anaprox (naproxen) and good old Motrin( ibuprofen)As for me I tried each one and almost invariably couldn’t tolerate it due to GI side effects, until the miracle of the COX 2sVioxx, Celebrex and Bextra. The day Vioxx was taken off the market I almost cried, and kept for myself every bottle that a patient returned. One walk in clinic kept some Tylenol 3s and I would occasionally help myself to 1 or 2. We didn’t keep very good track of them. And then came the OxyContin scam. We’d always known oxycodone was addictive and it was a schedule II. Supposedly according to the Sacklers and Purdue Pharma it was only addictive because it wore off and a sustained level provided by timed release would be safer. How did we smart doctors come to believe that? They promoted the famous and frequently useless 1 to 10 pain scale. Personally oxycodone in any form always made me nauseous. But my husband was given a bottle of 100 for a back strain and my teenage son was given 20 after removal of a foreign body from his toe. Around that time Vicodin came along. It wasn’t schedule II, worked better than codeine and wasn’t as nauseating. I began prescribing it liberally as we were given lots of samples, 100 at a time along with a new Vicodin containing cough syrup. My downfall came due to a shoulder injury that ultimately required surgery. The pain would wake me up and both my primary and my orthopedist prescribed it without question. I was asked if I wouldn’t prefer OxyContin. At the same time we were having family stresses with one of our kids acting out. I was also going thru menopause and was depressed. I started deliberately over prescribing and telling my patients that they shouldn’t keep any leftovers at home. And then our youngest son had a devastating accident. During the worst hours after his injury I didn’t take anything because I knew I had to be fully alert. My second biggest fear, after worrying that he would die, was that he too would become addicted. In fact he did, but his doctors helped him thru the withdrawal some months later. Then I began using his leftovers. I came very close to suicide- so close that I was given a leave of absence. My chiropractor, a recovering alcoholic/addict herself, saw thru me, confronted me and took me to AA. I finally confided to my husband, my psychiatrist and my primary doctor and gradually withdrew without any real withdrawal symptoms. That was 20 years ago. I’m elderly and arthritic, and I poorly tolerate NSAIDs still. I’ve had a GI bleed due to them. So now I get PT, I use a topical NSAID and I have a prescription for up to 4 codeine with Tylenol per day which I take with Zofran. I’m sorry this is so long but I think the history of opiates and how we have used them clinically in the past and currently might give some context. I still feel bad about the patients I feel that I personally caused to become addicted but it did start with real pain. That’s the paradoxHere we are on Oct. 10, based on the most credible facts: The aerosolized version of the pneumonic plague, if untreated, will kill a non-vaccinated person in 4 days. But it took that unlucky young woman 8 days to die. Thus, even if vaccinated, a newly weaponized plague bacteria at the lab was so deadly, she passed,. That's a most rational scenario based on known facts. Most terrifying, too.
Don't believe any Crap from America !!!!
It makes it really hard to keep from being worried. Its my number one rule when i watch these networks, because thats how they keep the lights on. But the suspicion is high and the threat is literally irreversible.
Distraction and biological warfare is becoming a new way to fight wars.
The key phrase is SHE SHOULD’VE KNOWN.
Don't understand why you keep bad plagues in a laboratory area and keep playing with it and playing with it until it gets out just kill it all and be done
200 people is probably about $2,000 now
Of course here we go with Russia and China Trump's president let's do whatever we can to kill people and put it all on him
I dont trust Russia, or any government entity truthfully. They all showed their true colors during Covid.
Never ever trust Russia
Was Fauci Involved?
We are also missing a huge component of the spread of Y. Pestis across Europe and Asia during the worst breakouts: massively unsanitary living conditions.
Head and body lice were a major source of the spread of bubonic plague, which could turn to septacemic plague if untreated, and both types could become pneumonic plague if untreated.
What is puzzling about the Russian story is how she would have contracted pneumonic plague from a test tube breaking, and if she somehow had, she would never have even been ill as she would have immediately been treated. A broken test tube is not something that you don't notice.
I also thought pnemonic plague could only be contracted through inhaling respiratory droplets from an infected human, or rarely from close contact with an infected cat.
If dropping a test tube produces a cloud of microscopic droplets, how far from the broken tube would that cloud extend? How long would the droplets stay in the air, or would they immediately be drawn into ventilation systems? Was she already suffering a cold which caused her to cough around contacts after her exposure? If not, how would she have spread pneumonic plague to anyone but very close contacts?
The whole story is very confusing.
This guy Alex lives in a dream world. Trump only sees sunshine and roses coming from Putins ass. So no I don't think this government will take this as a serious security issue
The Black Death changed 14th-century England, and modern outbreaks—from COVID-19 and measles to Ebola and reports of a possible disease incident in Russia—remind us that public-health crises still affect every part of society.
When policies appear to benefit large corporations while small businesses struggle, public confidence suffers. Leaders must therefore communicate honestly, show their evidence, and apply rules fairly. Trust is one of the most important tools in any crisis.
"… I don't think you can really take seriously anything the Russian government says". Even though this is 100% true ………. hearing an American say it makes me chuckle. The USA does not occupy any high ground and in fact sets the standard for this type of misinformation. Why do they expect Russia to be straightforward and honest in a crisis situation (that could possibly affect the World) when they themselves spew BS on a regular basis? People with no integrity cannot talk down to those with equally no integrity.
Top notch people arenot valued by this administration, people that are dumber than Trumpty Dumpty are the preffered requisite.
Common sense would suggest that personnel working in bio-weapons divisions are typically given experimental vaccines or other preventive treatments to protect them against the pathogens they handle. So if a young woman who had been working directly with this virus died within only a few days, despite the fact that treatments for these kinds of diseases have existed for a long time, that raises an obvious question.
It suggests that the reality may not be exactly the version being presented by the Russians on television. Instead, the truth could lie somewhere between what they are saying, what they are leaving unsaid, and what even other governments may not yet know.
That is why people are now asking: “What happens if this reaches us?” Because if it is not the strain described in the textbooks, then the standard treatment we know from those textbooks may not necessarily work in the same way. It could be some kind of hybrid variant.
And the Russians may be reluctant to describe it as such not simply because they are trying to keep it secret, but because they themselves may not fully understand what happened or how this particular variant came into existence.
This sounds like a gain of function of a bacteria gone wrong. The scientist Shilipova would have known the emergency protocol’s to deal with an accidental exposure to the pneumonic plague unless this is a diversion of what might have been an exposure to a completely different pathogen exposure. Exposure to pneumonic plague can be treated if antibiotics are administered within 24 hours of the exposure. The response doesn’t fit the story line that is being told. So this could be Russia hiding what really happened and what the real pathogen was. USAMRIID the USA medical research laboratory facility has very strict protocols and they have different levels of pathogen exposure protocols 1 thru 4 , 4 being the highest level of safety, self contained suits with oxygen piped in through hoses that are attached to the suits, staff that have a Buddy that inspects them and their suit to ensure no areas of potential exposure to the pathogens that they work with ie EBOLA, DENGUE FEVER, PLAGUE, SMALL POX , etc. Yersinia Pestis the pathogen that causes the three different types of plague is maintained on Biosafety level 3 at USAMRIID. Biosafety level you wear the suit, you have the gloves, and the hose that attaches to your suit so that you can breathe clean oxygen while you work with these deadly pathogens. So it’s hard to believe that she had broken a sample and accidentally inhaled a pneumonic plague, she would have at least been in a PAPR or some type of oxygen breathing device when dealing with something this lethal. She would have also taken immediate action with regard to safety protocols, being quarantined, isolated, cleaned and had antibiotics started immediately. So this narrative doesn’t fit the response.
Someone will use AI to manipulate a virus and it will have a high death rate. We are in the end times as written in the Bible. Probably 6 years until we see plagues asteroids earthquakes because God will shake this world so people wake up and know him.
I can't believe a socialist dictatorship would lie to the public!
those common antibiotics didn't save her and someone else. There must be something else….
Here we go again … lack of transparency as same cases on Wuhan China. Unbelievable.
Nobody to be allowed to temporarily travel out of Russia
