Ходил несколько раз, вроде бы ничего, но один недостаток есть, прибор сильно оцветняет обьемное железо, на мелкое железо реагирует нормально, но на крупное, топор например, идет хороший цветной сигнал, и звук и шкала ВДИ.
had the Fisher Gold Bug 2 for over 10 years and would like to upgrade to either the X-Terra Elite or the XP ICON X, because I think a DEUS 3 will come out in 3–4 years. Therefore, I would choose one of these two.
I don’t care about weight. The price difference, even if it’s around €100–200, is not important to me. It’s really about depth and reaction speed.
Hence my question for the professionals: X-Terra Elite or XP ICON X?
Looks complicated. How much of an edge will this give someone who was using an XP ORX?
Well, the Deus 2 features the xy-screen in single and multi frequency modes. I use it all the time.
Are you still making videos for XP, Gary? Are you freer now to speak your mind? Because you're spot on with this review, in my opinion it's rubbish, and any updates, at least like an audio response, should have been done before it went on sale.😂😂😂😂

Is this a budget Deus. Or is on par to Deus 1 and Deus 2
Hi my friend i have question for you can u tell me in what zone Xp icon and Icon X fall in in low middle or high level of detectors would you put it in in range of for example Nokta Makro Legend or Minelab Vanquish new models are these two detectors half of power less then Deus or close to it are they better then Deus 1 and Orx i want to buy one of these new Xp machines but i am curious is everything on them good in terms of quality.Wish you all the best !!!!! And which one you would prefer to buy Xp icon or Icon X
So vs Deus 2 this Deus is missing Silencer, XY screen, Botle cap reject, audio choice and limitations on frequency (HF2)

I agree with you about the frequent updates by XP for their machines. I didn't update my Deus II at all, I felt it didn't give me any benefits.
Incidentally, the Deus II is a MF machine and has the XY screen which I use all the time so, I don't understand why uts not a feature on the Icon.

Deus 2 has the XY display, or have I missed something? I only have the Lite D1 so not sure if the remote XY was/is better than the D2 version.

Personally l’m sick to death of hearing about this bloody thing 🤣 If it’s not a new flagship detector surely anyone with a Deus 2 isn’t going to be bothered? Like the ORX was a poor man’s Deus 1, so it follows this is a poor man’s Deus 2 🤷🏻

perso je ne fais plus de mise a jour 'jen ai fait 1 fois pour mon deus 1 et jai trouvé que cela n'était pas concluant et puis je ne vois pas l'intérêt quand tu trouves pourquoi veut tu changer quoi que ce soit…

Awesome video Gary. You found even more shortcomings in the settings and features that XP chose to include on the Icon/IconX that I missed from just reading the manual. I am not a fan of XP’s PWM audio, never have been. I would have been pissed if the only choice I had for Square audio was with morphing. Glad I cancelled my order for now. No, the ORX was not featured enough to make it a good choice as a coin-jewelry-relic detector where I detect. Its gold prospecting programs were great. My WSA lls were getting old so I ordered a new WSA ll ST set. I like the improvement in the overall sound quality of the WSAll ST but I still haven’t figured out a way to use Morphing that actually makes sense for where I detect. Since Detector Prospector shut down its membership has shifted over to Rob’s Detector Community Forum. Love to see you there if you want to join. Thank you as always.

I’m interested to know whether the IconX will be a better detector than the X-Terra Elite on dry land and in seawater.
You explain metal detectors by far the best.
Just think these machines are just to compete with lower end detectors and over complicated. I think deus are moving to more profit than better machines. The deus two new headsets to cater for morphing making the other headsets redundant just a complete waste over profit. I am moving towards other makes if this keeps up

If XP actually unlocks the Deus 2 coils fully for the Icon then ill seriously consider "downgrading" to the icon from my Deus 2.
The Icon is both simple and super capable which is what i preferr since im a super casual detectorist, the D2 is just overkill for me.
but damn the coil is ugly, they should make the inner arms of the coil point down so it would be like an arrow pointing forward similar to how the D2 coils are.

My Icon X was delivered on Tuesday, will be testing it out on Sunday, but I’m impressed so far for a mid range machine. You can have an XY screen on a multi frequency machine, I use it on the Deus II. Nice that they come with the wrist pouch to make the machine even lighter and the waveguide cable that you can route inside the shaft thanks to the redesigned control box holder.

I'm wondering if this is a new processor or if they're using Deus 2 processors or even the old Deus 1 and ORX. Need to disassemble the unit to find out.🤔
First off a big shout out to Pete and team at LP, they've always provided a quality service, helpfull should you need advice and faultless service in my many many years of detecting rite back to Mick & Julie Turrell in the early 80s. 👍 Clearly by the comments here they acknowledge your unique way of reviewing and presenting any new machine release, especially XP models. I thought a very fair initial review on the Icon X. Looking forward to meeting up this week and picking mine up. Then we can get out in the fields even if crops are up. 😊

I bought the IconX last week and the tones are a pain the arse. I don't like the morphing at all. I hear there is an update coming already. Just plain old Square tones would be nice.
Now i have heard the morphing on the IconX i won't use it on the Deus 11 . I just don't need it.
I wish there was a manual in the box too but the machine is very cheap and came with 10% discount straight away !
Back to the morphing , i used the P5 on full tones on the beach the other day. Not a lot found but the tones sounded a bit tinny and the targets sounded irony. Hope they sort that.
Anyway , not to bad and will be a good scavenger machine on the beach.
The in water cable is different to the Deus 11 and the charger on all parts is better.
I agree Audio is crap.
As for competition? I think the Vanquish might give this machine a run for its money and the Terra Elite is until updates a better machine. I think i made a mistake selling my Elite. Might have to reverse that ? If XP don't sort the issues on the IconX. Silencer is another .
On another topic. I hear the Manticore is getting an update soon too.
