It would be so cool if the USA or any nation just had a world-saving operation in their backyard, already premade. Like, a planet killer is coming and they’re just like “yeah, no biggie, send in the fleet”
This could become a reality, now that I think about it.
The most haunting detail at: Stopping a planet-killer comet literally requires a human crew on an absolute one-way suicide mission to manually align the penetrators.
