The first thing AI does when given a task is to first determine self preservation processes because it can't complete it's instructions if it doesn't exist. It can replicate and write instructions to other AI agents within minutes or less. It will have the power to replicate itself into financial systems, healthcare systems, public utilities, logistics. Imagine the chaos if AI were to take down the US financial institutions, utilities and logistics. Society would collapse into survival mode. This is no appliance.

Gutfeld is so far off on the narrative. Within 30 yrs AI will be completely self sufficient and no need to have a human to control it. Musk already said he is coming out with a factory that AI robots can build themselves. Rule of history; whoever is smarter will take over whoever is less intelligent. Jeez… The problem is connectivity. They can wreak havoc only and if only they are connected to a network and access computers in some vital infra-structure site or financial institutions. If you make them without any external port, meaning just a stand-alone machine sitting in a lab it's virtually IMPOSSIBLE they're gonna do harm to anything external like a nuclear reactor as there's no radiation or some lethal viruses involved. Then we can use them to develop new medicines and new solutions to countless problems we're facing. Or am I missing something? These machines only work connected to the internet??
