I had the security guard in plain clothes follow me in the mall so I spun him around in the store and got behind him. Funniest thing was standing at the bottom of the elevator and stepping out when he got near the bottom and asked him why TF he was following me, I scared the hell out of him.

Honestly my favorite response to when I get accused of shoplifting just go ahead look in my bag, because you can actually see if you're wrongly accused. I've only ever had to do it once and they let me go immediately because they knew they fucked up, didn't even check my bag.

If you havent left the store yet say "i am on my way to pay"
They legally have to let you go because you have not yet commit a crime while youre still on the store premises and that line renoved their probable cause
Or what you can do is ask them for video footage of you stealing/ shoplifting. If they don't have evidence than they really don't have a case 🤷🏿♀️.

I had a bunch of things in my hands and like there was nowhere to put anything and so I literally put something huge that they could obviously see in my pocket for two seconds and then they said I was stealing when I was literally about to go to checkout and was actively pulling it out and then they kicked me out and I’m not welcome back

I was falsely accused ot stealing something I paid for. Walmart LP grabbed my arm. Real bad idea. I started swinging and yelling "I don't know you get off me". Bad look for them.
I was just shopping and some person saw me with a bag the person thought I was shoplifting and I said to the guard I don’t consent you to search my bad but he forcefully took my bag and searched and nothing was found and I forgot about it
