  1. Well spoken despite what all the BOTS and keyboard warriors have to say, Stood up for his moral and ethical standards something lacking with this Trumpian Government respect !!

  2. Jack Tame: What values did you diverge from? Ferris (Translation): I wasn't getting cut in on the grift. Tamihere was holding out in giving me more cash.

  3. Non-Māori showing up on a Māori roll voter’s doorstep and telling them who to vote for is the issue. Was the campaigner well versed in treaty, Māori and iwi issues? Unlikely.

  4. Vote Labour, Greens or TPM to give gangs another bash at running NZ. Literally.

If you support National, ACT or NZF, please do this:

Vote for the National candidate and give your party vote to ACT or NZF.  Irrespective of what electorate you're in.

There is no better way for you to maximise the number of Nat + ACT + NZF seats in parliament and counter the unfair advantage given to the left by the Maori electorate overhang seats.  This election is too tight to do anything other than just maximise the chance of keeping the left out of power (i.e. Chloe as Finance Minister, Rawiri as Justice Minister, Oriini as Gang Coordination Minister, Willie as Co-Greatness Minister, etc).

This strategy works, at this election, because only National can generate extra seats on the right (called overhang seats).  This is because of their historic hold on electorates and the fact that their party vote has now shrunk to the point that it entitles them to less seats than they actually win from electorates.  There is no possibility of overhang seats for ACT or NZF, as they don't win enough electorates.

To put it another way, at this election, the almost one million party votes that National normally get will be completely wasted and will not return a single extra National MP to parliament.  Giving those party votes instead to ACT or NZF will return more MPs for the right.

John Key thinks you're a bit thick and wants you to 'two-ticks National' as he is trying to save National as an old-time major party.  That ship has sailed, for now.  John wants to save National; the voting advice above is your best shot to save NZ.

  5. 10:59 Good point. Māori who come into wealth tend to quickly relocate into predominantly Pākehā communities and neighbourhoods. It's a form of internal capital flight, or economic leakage. I wonder if it's a core driver of uneven development investment between communities. A situation where Pākehā invests in Pākehā communities, Māori invests in Pākehā communities, and nobody investing in Māori communities. And little to no visual evidence or economic data indicating development via remittances sent back. Which is distinctly different from other Austronesian cultures, which all participate extensively in remittance networks. Those people likely feel double abandoned by a lack of action, amid an excess of talk
