Some users of X, Elon Musk’s social media platform formerly known as Twitter, say they’re leaving the app because of new terms of service. Among other things, the terms say that say by using X, users agree to let their posts be used to train AI. NBC News’ Savannah Sellers reports.

Well, on this date, the news tells me they lost 12 million users . According to ground news . 😂
I closed my X account in December of 2024,I was on there for over five years.
Boycott “the platform previously known as twitter” and all of their advertisers!
It's 816 on the west coast and it is down again
Twitter was enjoyable. I have no interest in X. The new OWNER apparently has a lot of money, but no taste or feeling for what folks want.😢
No free speach on any social media
ELON MUSK SUSPENDS MY ACCOUNT FOR TELLING THE TRUTH ON NIGEL FARAGE
SO MUCH FOR FREE SPEECH ON X
No one likes Elon musk, he’s just a greedy punk.
Twitters Now My X 🎸https://youtu.be/OD0_9PExTjw?si=QbmLEXU6a-UH2L9H
Remember you have to Deactivate Twitter X and then at 30 Days they so called Delete your profile. So make sure to officially close the account.
Ai steeling images is the same reason so many people left Facebook as their go to with events. Facebook had people die and use thier likeness to sell products. That is how messed up that platform. No loss to me to dump twitter too.
Yup, I closed mine. I can't stand Musk.
So happy X blocked me😂😂😂
Been spaming X with GOD IS GOOD EVERYDAY!! They blocked me for that! Exposed the secret society freemason thats been going viral, he didn't like it! GOD is showing me who they really are!! THANK YOU GOD!!
DDDDDDOOOOOONNNNNNEEEE❌❌❌❌🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡❌❌❌❌❌❌👏🏼👏🏼
I forgot my password Twitter x . But I guess Twitter x lost me.
Facebook, Instagram & X. Time to dump them all
Whiners
Since Elon bought it… he "deleted" my account but he let the Taliban account stay active. 🤨So I can log in and see my old account but no one else can see it so it's in purgatory. I haven't decided if I want to create a new account bc he's been doing weird thing and this just made my decision to not be on there/ I'd rather hop on blue sky —and BTW, it will always be call twister, not X.
You want censorship so bad you can taste it….
Poor little crybabies have to take their leftie bs to an echo chamber like bluecry.
LOLOLOL…
It’s wayyyy wayyy to politicized than is a formal place to go to outside of politics. It’s been poorly managed with less innovation to the app.
I saw an interview with a CIA agent who said “the best way for censorship is not banning the truth but to bury it by flooding the media with misinformation”. The is Elon Musk’s X in a nutshell…
Truth social aka Putin, Musk, Trump propaganda mouthpiece no thanks.
I registered with x months ago. Never used it. Today i triedcwaking it up and have had my account suspended. Ive pnever used x and would like to, but their pre formed help wuestions simply dont touch the spot. Theres not a space where I can tell them they have suspended my account so still do not use x. Does anyone know how to say this to their robot sonit can hear. As i really would like to learn how to use it, to see if it can replace you tube for me, i have no clue even what the site looks like .
Officially stopped using Twitter back in 2016. Deleted TikTok almost two years ago
just leave. who cares. I am curious how many people leave media like NBC, CNN…… LOSER!
people is leaving because no one want to be on the same platform than elon and the rightwing men…
Roko's basilisk sees what you do, 🎉😂
People can get back at Musk by joining the millions already leaving x. They should also stop buying Tesla cars and they will. No sane person wants to finance this man.
i used to consider myself closer to a democrat. i think u guys are bat sh1t. enjoy ur population decline tactics. anti actual science. promote deviances left and right. push terrible things on confused people. u do that to urselves. dont do it on me and my people tho. bye
"Some users" = people salty Trump won 🚬🗿

Oh God blame it all on politics. In 2020 the left wingers were obnoxious, especially about the plandemic, and election..Censorship was rampant on Twitter. So now its the right wingers? Let politics go, why let these bots and ignorant people ruin your experience with people you enjoy communicating with? I see ignorance and meaness on all platforms, I donot allow it to run my life, nor will I fall out with family and friends, over these jacked up propaganda politics and devisive political parties.
All social media is terrible and should be outlawed no one cares what you're eating or where you went to vacation at or about your stupid ugly kids
Yeah, some toxic users 😆🤡❄️😭🐑
Propaganda game weak AF lately. Y'all boutta lose 2028 too.
Don't let the door hit you in the butt. Never use Twitter. Never saw the need. But if you're going to get on there and then write a post on people are fleeing x it's like so what people leave organizations all the time and services. Who cares? This is just more BS negativity that the American people don't need to hear. It's like if you don't like the TV channel, turn it. You don't have to complain about it
So glad that I never signed up for Twitter.
Meanwhile the same people who left twitter would still use chatgpt 😂
I got one during 2016 and found a lot of cool people on it. Then it became a disgusting cesspool during the 2016 election. I left and i never looked back.
Using the internet and social media has its risks. People need to understand it is not a safe space for them.
Twitter’s new TOS also allows them to use images posted on the platform for AI training so a large majority of artists are deleting their accounts on the platform in response and moving to alternatives like Bluesky.
It's the bots
Forgot i had one, went ahead and deleted mine.
So when the shoes on the other foot this is the result 🤣🤣
