Here are three things I wish I knew when I started using a charcoal chimney. Whether you’re lighting just a few coals or aiming for a high-heat sear, these tips will help you get the most out of your grill setup. Plus, a bonus trick for maximum heat you might not expect! 🔥

If I’m out of fire starters or newspaper, I just rip off a piece of the charcoal bag
A paper bag works great too. They burn hotter and longer than newspaper.
I was just saying “where Vic at?”
And most importantly, about using pellets 😂
Cooking on top of the chimney is like cooking on top of a jet engine. It’s bad ass.
I'd be careful of using newsprint, but if you do, make sure you ONLY use B&W regular news print. Not color ads, not magazine type inserts as shown in this video. This COULD be dangerous to your health.
If I'm making a fire it's always going to be a big one 😅
Is common sense dead …….
This is the first time I have been inspired and motivated to buy a charcoal chimney. I should have thought to put a grill on the chimney but haven't gotten that far, lol. Thank you! I might only need the chimney to cook from now on!!!
Correct ☑️
I took the bottom wire off. So when the charcoal is ready, I just lift the chimney straight up
Who gives a good shit
A litre of hand sanitizer is eight bucks at Walmart. I squirt a bit on a serviette and crumple it up. Burns long time.
If you need this video, you don't need to be grilling anything.
Flipping it upside down for small amounts… Is such a great recommendation. I've never heard anyone suggest that
Wow. You bought a chimney and didn’t know any of that?
I love weber's chimney in particular because it's one of the few who have that cone shape built in at the bottom.
Most others are flat.
Don’t flip the chimney upside down, just put a small amount in the regular way. There is no advantage to flipping the chimney upside down.
That looked like a fogo bag 😊
Seems like I have to buy a new chimney every two years. I think I'll try lining one with a silicone baking mat. I've got several and only used one at a time, and only 5-6 times 😅
Edit: those mats are only good up to 480°F, but I'm leaving this here in case anyone has a bright idea😅
Dump the chimney when the smoke clears.
Nah, that’s last is no good.
Tip #4 You really should be using an electric grill if you need a chimney to start charcoal.
It depends on the grillsizw? Mine is 37cm
I don't understand the first tip, flipping it over doesn't change a thing
I regret getting one with a diagonal top
They can getva wok up to temp
this guy's anidiot
Forget all that 😂. Torch 3 charcoals and dump everything in there
Start charcoal with denatured alcohol in a small tin can.
