Floating vanity cabinet tips…I drew a level line at the desired height and found the studs. The most important step is ensuring the cleat is level and fastened to the studs with the appropriate screws, I used GRK Cabinet Screws for this project. Good fecking luck with those screws
You can't close the drawers if you stall the way
Just rest it on your HUGE BASEBOARD 😅 whats with the pipes coming up out of the baseboards 😮
I've never been successful in using those electronic stud finders
How is no one talking about that pluming coming out of the base molding??? 🤔
That shit looks terrible
That cabinet will fail.
I have one but it’s slowllly leaning out so that the front is now lower… probably from my kids leaning and sitting on it. How can I best re-level it without uninstalling?
How do you know which is a stud and which one is plumbing
Why do they bother pre drilling the cleat? Do they know where my studs are?
Do NOT use cabinet screws for this. I do countertops. Cabinet screws are great, but any floating cabinet much bigger than this will have a top too heavy, and you run the risk of having it rip from the wall. Use anchor screws (NOT DRYWALL SCREWS). For a cabinet this small you are likely fine cause the sink hole takes a TON of weight out. If you do use cabinet screws, I'd suggest putting feet under it to give ot some extra support. 3CM quartz can weigh up to 15 lbs per square foot.
What, no 3 inch drywall screws…the universal fasteners.
Floating cabinets are all the rage!!!! I started roughing all my drains instead of the 18 inches like I was taught over 25 years ago. I now rough them at 22 inches. Otherwise you’ll have the trap sticking out of the bottom of lots of them.
Like the stud finder, can you tell us the brand?
