I just bought me the io series 10 brush since my old series 9 had developed deformed buttons. I am afraid the brush will not live long under those circumstances so I have made a complaint to Oral-B since it was deformed in less than 4-5 months. Hopefully the warranty covers it. I have rinsed the brush body under water each time. Dried it. Now with my series 10 brush I have put plastic film on the buttons to save it . But the pairing with 10 was so different from 9. Firstly one strange thing happened. When I used the series 9 brush the io sense started to show time I used the brush and show how well I was brushing even though the io sense was not paired with it. Then it would not allow me to pair the brush with the io sense and the io 10 brush would not complete pairing. I went baick to the retail store for warranty issue today. They checked it there and suddenly it worked and it now paired at home. But I have no clue how it was fixed. One thing I did nt understand was that WIFI was needed for the io sense. The series 9 is easier to pair. Go for 9 over 10 I say. Keep your buttons safe. Add plastic film over the buttons. I will from now on as it is a precious and expensive tool. Ps. if my io series 9 tooth brush is covered by warranty replacement I will give away the new one as a perfect X-mas gift.
I just got back to my old oral b x genius. iO heads are become rotten and completely black inside after a few weeks. Despite flushing and drying. Complete failure.
