  1. It's interesting how Nikki becomes so childlike after the wish, I think it shows how the 'ideal' for a lot of men is really infantilized and they want the concept of an innocent hairless submissive girl who they can teach everything but they don't actually want the reality of that and how it would affect the relationship. Like how Nikki cannot physically function anymore after the wish without assistance (she pees herself and gets into the cat food because she presumably can't make herself food either, also doesn't get washed without being told), she throws 'tantrums' in public and her cries especially in this scene sound very childlike.

  2. I honestly couldn’t see her in this scene. Had no clue this was a visual moment, I thought she was just speaking through the darkness which made it so scary tbh

  3. It's so strange to watch this this way, I was the 1st AC, Casey Schoch, on the camera team on Obsession, I still remember us filming this scene as just another day of a little indie movie. The stakes felt so low at the time, like a fun passion project. I still can't wrap my brain over how big this movie got lol

  4. this film was pretty solid for a twilight zone ep in 1961. Solid play on the monkey paw only for them to ruin it with the last act use of the wishing. Proper shite.
