We reminisce about our shared show partner, Calvin, chat about my return to Western Riding after 10 years, and share the stories behind my rides with Hollywood and Denver.
From late-night practice rides to the moments that don’t go according to plan, horse showing is full of learning experiences. I’m so grateful for the horses and people who have helped me get here, and I can’t wait to see what the World Show brings!

I know you didn’t get into contesting like your parents. I think a youtube video of more expanded classes at congress would be cool. Show some reining, cutting and contesting. Show the viewers how talented the Quarter horse breed can be.

As you have more horses enter the show world, do you plan on utilizing Dani, Rachel, or any others from your to circle show?
How many times can we hear the word "LIKE" ??
It might be hard to do it in February, or any time during foaling season, because you can't plan when the mares and foals are going to need your attention.

And can we talk about having Daddy and Momma Van Slyke on the show?! The two people who raised the beautiful girl who is now teaching MILLIONS of people about breeding and foaling horses, showing in horse shows, raising goats and donkeys, and calving! 🐴🐐🐄

Katie, once again I’m going to show my old grandma self…but when you shared that SOME people watch you when you were younger and make comments that you were skinnier then or you looked so good this just pis*es me off! Obviously those people don’t understand that what you weigh does not amount a hill of beans to your beauty. You, my dear, have a beautiful soul and it shines through in everything you do.
