About this tutorial
In this video, we cover how to move pre-existing files into Google Drive folders in order to organise and clean up your Google Drive. To do this, all you need to do is select the file or files you want to move, before heading on up the three dots for more options. Next, what you need to do is go down to ‘Move to’ and choose the folder we want to move this into, before clicking ‘Move’ at the bottom right. Watch the full video to find out how.

  1. can they make it easier allow me drag drop from 1 open window to another. it doesnt drag across seperate windows like ordinary files on computer would. so organizing files after i upload them to google drive is more clunky than i feel it should be.

  2. there is no such option for me, I highlight in the appropriate folder with cntrl+o — but no option under that menu includes ‘move too’

    Very frustrating

  3. used to do that step by step every time before fr then i showed workbeaver ai how i like my drive organized, and now it just moves stuff for me exactly how i’d do it. no setup, no code. you ever try automating that kinda thing? you should look into it.

  4. This is a bunch of crap (the "Move-to' button doesn't exist in late 2024). What you need to tell people is that google in its infinite idiocy has embedded the 'move' command in a sub-menu of "Organize." That's why everyone's confused.
