Sen. Rand Paul and Sen. Josh Hawley are both contemptuous themselves for denying Fauci's 5th Amendment rights under the constitution. This hearing sets a bad precedent for constitutional rights in future hearings.

Dr Fauci should never have been brought in front of your committee. He handled the Covid pandemic with care and with his decades of experience. He did nothing wrong. You only have to look at the rest of the world to see that Dr Fauci handled the pandemic the same as was done worldwide. Why Rand and the republicans are doing this is absolutely ridiculous. If they want someone to blame look at Donald Trump, who was outstandingly responsible for hundreds of deaths.

The Republican show trials / GOP rallies are truly disgusting. Fauci's handling of the pandemic was highly competent. It has only been a few years but 1/2 the country seems to have forgotten that Americans were dying in hospital hallways and corpses were being store in refrigerated semi trucks. The estimate of people saved by the fast tracking of mRNA vaccines alone is upwards of 3 million. The lockdown, masking, and social distancing saved many more.
