Does this formula only work for 100%. I tried doing it with different percentages like 1000%, and it gives me weird results.
Gotta be honest, was confused af, because I worked at a bank and never would we say "12% annual" but payed more, instead monthly percentage would be recalculated not as 12 / 12 = 1% but (1 + r)**12 = 1.12 -> r = (1.12)**1/12 – 1 = 0.0095 = 0.95%.
I mean maybe it is normal to be weird and use flat out wrong percentage when talking about loans in different countries, I don't know, but at the very least it is a moment that the teacher should stress, I am 100% confident student know literally zero about banking and that is super confusing when you just don't elaborate and claim "they actually pay more than what they tell they will pay", because that is super counter intuitive.
I wanna point out that I love this teacher and a lot of his explanations are amazing, but when it comes to exponent, exponential growth and logarithms, I think the lessons could be improved.

The only value of this presentation is in excitement it is creating, but otherwise there is no intuition into meaning of "e".
Proper intuition for "e" is that "e" is the unique base of an exponent for which value of the function of (e^x) is equal to it's own derivative or slope which is (e^x). Or even shorter, change of the function (e^x) is equal to it's value.
