You quote the outcomes of trials with 2000 IU per day and 60,000 IU per month which is the same. Other doctors report that reduced incidents of cancer -30% and heart issues only appear with a dose of at least 4000 IU per day.
The problem with pretty much any study ever done is that not everything is controlled. What people eat what they don't eat other supplements smoking drinking etcetera etcetera.
70 years old – 10K of D3 daily. Decades of not getting sick other than a very mild Covid infection in 2022.
These experts are so full of shit it’s spectacular to watch
Ouch, she got crushed in the comments, glad to see people know and understand D better than our lord and Dr.
Totally wrong. I changed my life for better health by taking 10000iu/day with Vitamin B complex. My sleep improved, better brain function and overall stamina and energy. Doctor you're totally wrong by suggesting to take 800iu of Vit D/day..
Do you have data showing hi vitamin D3 cause problem? How many Patient you have Seen that has problem, Show us data. Thanks.
But should older people take Vit D if they are not taking "any" right now.
I'm so confused by all these doctors. I was literally watching one from Great Britain earlier today, whose video posted in the spring of 2025 (a year after this one), that showed the US study she references of taking 600 to 800 units had a mathematical error. The numbers should have been 8,000 units in a normal vitamin D level should be around 70 ng/ml. I followed up by researching and found the study. It was well published, show the mathematical error they made in the past and included its own trials. It also refuted some of the things that she mentions about it having limited effect on cardiovascular disease. Who you supposed to believe when the doctors themselves can't agree on what the standards are? You wonder why people throw off their hands and say "oh screw it."
What about higher doses of vitamin D to prevent glaucoma?
very helpful. thanks.
All this Researches in US mostly are based on on Population Control and All those Big company they give Money and a lots of it to Those Researches in US so it is Not Reliable.I mostly Believe in English Publishers due to in that country politics has Less effect on their Publishing .Generally in Countries with Free Health care they must do something to Have positive effect on people health to reduce the their Government Budget however in Countries which have not haveGeneral Free health care like US the more sickness in people is Better to get the money off of them for Rich Drug companies.
I don't think doctors know about optimal nutrition especially with so many different medical problems. They seem to usually only work on treating symptoms with drugs. Low vitamin D seems to be correlated to many medical problems. Doctors should be better educated in optimal nutrition and be able to come to a average agreement on what is too high or low a level of vitamin D.
I strongly disagree with the info presented in this video. There is a substantial amount of published research, including randomized trial data, that supports a much better understanding of vitamin D than what was presented here.
Telling people to avoid vitamin D levels over 50, with what we know now about vitamin D is lethal, overly simplistic and grave advice esp considering the growing body of research involving immune function, inflammation, and autoimmune conditions.
I was also surprised that there was nothing meaningful mentioned about magnesium or vitamin K2, which many clinicians and researchers consider important when discussing vitamin D metabolism and calcium balance.
And the suggestion that vitamin D levels generally don’t need to be checked unless someone already has issues like abnormal calcium, phosphate problems, or fragility fractures is far too narrow. Many people with low vitamin D levels experience symptoms long before reaching that stage.
People deserve balanced, well researched info on this topic esp given how much proof exists on vitamin D and immune health.
Respectfully, get a DEXA scan done before determining how much Vitamin D you need.
Thank you
Yes It D toxicity is increasingly common, children poisoned etc just today BBC news just flagged this up again, it like iron shouldn't be in multi but is especially in summer, get it from sunlight please, so many stupid moronic you tubers do not understand it it will in excess cause bone spurs, kidney damage and so for the and dampen the necessary immune trigger ie inflammation, Vit D toxicity is a silent killer!
I have been taking 2000IU dosage of vitamin d for several years and my doctor has not reduced my dosage even though my current blood tests show normal Vit D level. More recently my Nephrologist RXd Calcitriol associated with my CKD treatments. He knew i am on the non RX 2000IU Vit D when he added the Calcitriol. Not sure what i should do to ask them about whether I need to continue taking these ???
Well, my skin cancer risk is 100X due to immune depressants so my skin doctor recommends Vit D3 every day from any supermarket brand. They take it themselves. And it's not really a vitamin but a hormone with lots of beneficial effects all over.
All doctors should give patients a micronutrient test to get a decent set of eyes on a persons cell health, just a blood serum test is driving blindly,, and lazy wake up and doctor,Doctors
My mom has Alzheimer's and the nurse practitioner told her to take Vitamin D3 5,000 IU a day as her Vitamin D level was low. She's also taking donepizil & mementime. Is that dosage of Vitamin D3 too much for her? She's 88 years young. Thanks in advance.
I’m taking 35,000 IU D3 daily, and I feel great! I take K2 and magnesium. It has helped me to burn visceral fat in the belly area. This video seems to be supporting the pharmaceutical industry because if you have low Vitamin D3, you will be sick and have to take their poison. 800 ius daily is a joke. Look up Jeff Bowles. He has written many books on the miracles of high dose vitamin D3. They want you sick so they recommend low dose vitamin D3.
