  1. Thanks for the tips Tom and Rachel! How do you link an [r] to an [r]? As in “you’re right”, because when I round my lips to make the beginning [r] in the second word, it sounds like a [w]: “you’re [w]right”. Thanks again!

  2. I have been trying to learn bunch r for 6 month and have seen a lot of video. by watching many video I had learnt r colored vowels sound by following bunch method. I couldnt produce beginning r . I started to use the technique like sir Tom have shown in this video . but I wasnt sure the technique I use is correct way to build up consonant r sound. after watching this I have cofident increased by sir Tom. many many thanks rachel

  3. Hi, this is a striking video I agree with you tom is a really world class pronunciation instructor yesterday I watched your conversation video tom has an incredible accent thanks.

  4. Thx 👍
But I have a big problem.
I speak with a lisp of letter r
I can not make it clear. I tried hard to show it but at the beginning of the word it seems like /w/
At the middle and end it disappears like the british r

  5. I am so so happy, because me not being able to say any words right with ‘r’ in it gave me severe social anxiety, so bad that I had to be homeschooled because I couldn’t stand talking to people. I used to dodge words that had an r in it, resulting in me sounding strange and foreign. This helps SO much and I know it’s old but THANK YOU!
