Can you image any attack on Oman !! What could possibly go wrong? Well take account of Oman/UK comprehensive mutual defence pact (dating back to 1970s) and the 500 to 700 UK military that are on constant training rotation in the Sultanate. Add to that it is the favoured location for UK Special Forces desert and rough terrain training. Then the UK military, but Omani uniformed, Loan Service personnel in crucial elements of its defence forces. Then move on to the Oman/Pakistan and Oman/Egypt defence agreements that also enables shared personnel. This is of course to ignore the prominent position than Oman has within the Gulf States and Gulf Council. All relating to a war Trump started to demand Iran not have what is does not have nor ever want. The aim to have an agreement exactly as the Agreement Trump reneged on in his first term. Oh well. US is seriously becoming a lost cause regarding allies and diplomacy. Best leave it to stew on its own.

I was in the Gator Navy (Amphibious) for six years during the Vietnam war.. All of these things happening now that show how poorly the US Navy has fared, the fires, the utter lack of resupply to ships on Yankee Station, overboards, no chow, sea water showers. Trump and his administration are the worst but be informed, the US government under all administrations have viewed service personnel as expendible, use once and thrown away.
