  1. Well, I'm all caught up in these now. Honestly rather happy you mentioned spinoffs and specifically showed Finest Hour and Big Red One. I played the heck out of those games and I very much so love them, so I'm excited for whenever those pop up. Otherwise, can't wait to see all the totally above board actions that get taken in MW3.

  2. I feel like the explosive bullets thing is really pushing it. The M60 in the plane could easily be argued as intended for use against vehicles or groups for ground attack, and what's realistically the difference between the exploding crossbow and a 40mm grenade launcher? Especially when you're actively told to use it against vehicles.

  3. I feel like it would have made a little more sense if the CIA used soviet weapons against the soviets to further conceal their identities as to not trigger WW3

  4. 1:37:20 The facility is pressurized to match the hydrostatic pressure, as you can see the water forming a pool. That means there has to be enough gas pressure to push the water back. That also explains your concerns with the seriousness of leaks, the pressure difference is similar to what you would expect on surface.

There is however much bigger problem. Given what we see in the escape sequence it seems that the entire facility is several "Rusalka" lengths deep at least, so around a 100m mark? At that point if it was filled with air, the partial pressure of oxygen would be so high that it would be extremely toxic. That would require the entire station to be filled with a mixture containing much less oxygen and any sort of inert gas to replace it. Usually helium is used, so you would get high pitched voices. Nitrogen is not really an option, as at this level it would be extremely narcotic.

The escape sequence is not survivable, because Mason would have already been saturated enough with high pressure gases, which would expand inside of his body as he is surfacing, almost certainly killing him.

Even the rapid descent would be extremely improbable, as Mason would have to rapidly adjust his rebreather ratio and would definitely suffer from HPNS, also known as tremors, making any combat extremely difficult.

Not that the game tries to be realistic, but this simply is completely impossible mission.

  5. 9:49 but you didn't correctly identify a lot of German tanks in the previous CoD games… A Panzer IV and a Tiger may look almost alike depending on the Panzer IV variant, and Panzer IV were more frequent because they were the backbone of the entire German Panzer armies…

  6. Man, I can't wait til you get to MW2019, not just because of the amount of War Crimes, but also, like, the game trying to justify doing War Crimes that I feel like it'll make that video less an edutainment thing, and more an actual education on maybe why War Crimes are bad and why the series' normalization of war crimes should be looked at. Especially when looking at the modern age. I'm down for a more serious look for that game.

  7. So fun fact about Kowloon city, by an obscure cultural exception it never stopped being part of China, even during British rule of the island. It was a fort which the British couldn’t govern and China couldn’t reasonably do either.

  8. funnily enough, using a weapon like the thundergun in hongkong like you can in black ops 1
would get you at least 4 distinct war crimes if not more

it is an unproven, unreviewed weapon being secretely deployed in the field in a clandestine unsanctioned operation
    which is probably 2?
most definitely one of them though

it is a weapon that causes superfluous injury on any personel it is fired uppon

it is an indiscriminate weapon being fired within a populated civilian center

    it causes excessive collateral damage

yeah even bringing that thing into the field is a warcrime, even if you never pulled the trigger, pulling the trigger just earns you another 3 to 4 warcrimes if not far more

  9. I'm not sure if this uhm actually moment but the crossbow shots on vehicles shouldn't count as warcrimes correct? I mean they're all still disguised as Russians so that would still be a war crime? Also the Vietcong aren't a uniformed military which is against the Geneva convention as there isn't a way to distinguish them from civilians to be fair they aren't a formal military so kinda like the Vorkuta prisoners kind of hard to say to be fair in the game to be fair they are wearing bandoliers headbands and are equipped with mostly military style firearms so they may be excluded.

  10. The reason why tear gas is allowed when used by police against civilians during peace but banned in warfare is actually quite simple and logical. It is a chemical weapon.

Tear gas in specific is not lethal (typically) meaning that it goes in "less lethal" classification of weapons, the but if someone is using a chemical weapon during a war, how the heck will the other side know if it is "probably not lethal tear gas" or something more dangerous? And if one chemical weapon is allowed, where will the line be drawn? Especially since the "less lethal" genre of weapons has a small chance to kill someone, so if we allow a gas that has a 1% chance to kill someone, what about a gas with 10% chance to kill people? The easiest way to settle this is to simply ban ALL chemical weapons.

Also, the reason why soldiers are often exposed to tear gas in training is that this is the safest way to train them how to use their gear to protect themselves from chemical weapons while using an actual chemical weapon on them. Otherwise they'd just be wearing gas masks in clean air and possibly wear it wrong (allowing gas to get to them) or not appreciate how important the training is.
