Pex B fittings reduce flow rate and pressure
I just redid mine in 3/4" PEX B, wow what a difference. Found out that 3/4" PEX B has same inner diameter as 1/2" copper.
Don’t hide Pex B behind tile, it fails in short term and high pressure.
Old school copper,our showers are concrete and tile,so pex is a no go,might as well use PVC.
The mandatory water test, is the one that matters. Don't skip that test

Pex b necks your 1/2 inch plumbing down to a quarter inch at all the fittings. Why would you keep using that? Pex A is so much better. I have been in construction for over 30 years and I replace those crimp fittings all the time, they are prone to leaking. I have only ever seen ONE expansion pex fitting leak.

I am not a fan of any plastic pipes for plumbing, accept in DWV piping….
I predict… these will be a nightmare, when the plastic becomes old …in your water lines.

Pex b is great and I never used the gauge because if it leaks the pressure test would show anyway.
Any system that has a gage to determine if it was done correctly has an inherent flaw in the product or toolng.
Aren't there issues with the PEX degrading overtime? Also arnt there lawsuits going on too?

Copper is king, pex wont last, its cheap and over time it will fail.
