MOTS-C FAQ — Science, Dosing, Safety, Results
What is MOTS-C?
MOTS-C is a mitochondrial-derived peptide discovered at USC/Harvard. It improves how your cells use fuel by activating AMPK, increasing glucose uptake, and enhancing mitochondrial stress-resilience.
⸻
Does MOTS-C burn fat?
Indirectly, yes — by improving metabolic flexibility:
• better insulin sensitivity
• increased fat oxidation during exercise
• improved muscle glucose handling
But it is not a GLP-1 and doesn’t suppress appetite.
⸻
What benefits can you realistically expect?
Human and animal studies show improvements in:
• insulin sensitivity
• energy + exercise capacity
• recovery and mitochondrial function
• inflammation and metabolic markers
• muscle performance, especially in older adults
In practice, many report:
• cleaner energy
• better workouts
• easier glucose control
• less post-exercise soreness
⸻
What is the optimal dosing?
Clinically, most people use:
5–10 mg, 2–3× per week
or
every 5 days, depending on training load.
MOTS-C works best when pulsed, not daily — mitochondrial peptides respond to spikes, not constant exposure.
⸻
Can you combine MOTS-C with Semaglutide / GLP-1 agonists?
Yes. They work on complementary pathways:
• GLP-1 → appetite + glucose regulation
• MOTS-C → mitochondrial efficiency + exercise capacity
This combination often helps prevent muscle loss during weight-cutting phases (if protein and strength training are adequate).
⸻
Does age matter?
Older adults often respond extremely well because MOTS-C restores mitochondrial pathways that decline with age.
⸻
How fast do you feel results?
Some feel better energy in 3–5 days.
Exercise performance and metabolic markers improve over 3–6 weeks.
⸻
Is MOTS-C safe?
Current research shows:
✔ good safety profile
✔ no known organ toxicity
✔ naturally occurring in the body
But clinical use should still be guided by a physician.
⸻
Can MOTS-C help with muscle, strength, or recovery?
Yes — MOTS-C improves AMPK signaling and mitochondrial biogenesis in muscle.
It often leads to:
• better endurance
• higher work output
• quicker recovery
• less fatigue during cutting or low-calorie phases
⸻
Does MOTS-C replace testosterone or GH?
No — completely different mechanism.
MOTS-C optimizes the machinery, not the hormone levels.
Great synergy with:
• TRT
• GH secretagogues (CJC-1295/Ipamorelin)
• SLU-PP (mitochondrial function)
• BPC-157 for tissue repair
⸻
What if I don’t feel anything?
It may mean:
• mitochondrial membrane damage → consider SS-31 repair cycles
• inadequate protein
• insufficient resistance training
• low magnesium or low vitamin D status
MOTS-C works best when the cell environment is optimized.

Thank u
Some other online doctors and "experts" recommend SS31 B4 MotsC. What are your thoughts on that?
Wouldnt it make more sense to run SS31 first that way youve not wasted time and a cycle of MOTS-C just to find out you mitrocondria are not optimal? Optimising mitochodria first seems a more efficent and logical approach!
How many units per day, per week? My insulin syringes are measured in units, not mg!
"See your health care provider"???…. Most don't have a clue about peptides 😂
Amazing stuff, Dr. ❤
I'm a 41-year-old man. I have had diabetes for 20 years. I train five days a week at the gym. I am fairly fit. I am on 500 mg of metformin, one tablet per day. Looking to get mot-c.
What would be a good dose, and what time of day should I take it?
Thanks heaps.
I am also
Easily angry
What about people that are not high performers/athletes.
58, on Tirz, Walk 30minutes daily and do resistance/weight training 3-4 per week
So not a super athlete but fairly active
First time here and it just feels less genuine when it's clearly visible that you're just reading off something behind the screen. What a shame.
Mots C dosage information is so far apart from anything else how tf do we know who's right? So many different opinions it's impossible to know what's the correct dosage
Who can even afford this protocol?
I did 1.5 for two weeks I feel the same no energy
Hello. Please tell me a website where I can buy Rita for weight loss. Thank you.
Tried it felt like absolute crap . Will try again
Great video but is the video slow on purpose? 1.5x is magic
Been on for a week can’t tell any difference
Fantastic video good sir!
I wish this stuff was cheaper, do you only have to do it for a cycle or so or to fix you mitochondria ?
Where can I purchase safe MOTS-C or peptides in general? I reside in the U.S.
Hi, I have just subscribed after watching this. I have been on mounjaro for 5 months and have lost 25kgs but have muscle loss issues. This video has helped immensely, I am shortly going to start mots-c and tesamorelin. As you advise I will get the blood test done. Thanks
Stacking Mot-C with Zepbound at 5ml
Great video and protocol breakdown, but it’s missing one part. After the 12-week cycle, you’re on the maintenance phase of 5mg once a week, how long can you stay on the maintenance phase? If we need to cycle off, how long for?
MD, DO or Chiropractor?
Human trails?!? I'm pretty sure this has only been trialed on mice… I'm sure endurance athletes having been using this for years but not studied as clinical trial.
Ss 31 works better than mots C ..
I don’t know why but if I use mots C , I feel irritability and sleep deprivation but ss 31 gives me high energy , smooth skin ,calming brain
I'm working with a Regenerative Dr. She really knows her stuff… For those of you who cant afford one I'm posting my regimen for you. I'm 68 and had lyme and car accident breaks pelvic and back, so lots of pain fatigue, and mitochondria damage.
Start with BPC57:
Week 1+2 250 mcg daily (5 units)
Week 3-8 500 mcg daily (10 units)
Week 9-12 500 mcg 3x per week
(10 units)
MOT-C
Weeks 4+5 500 mcg 2x per week
(10 units)
Weeks 6-11 1000 mcg 2x per week
(20 units)
Run MOTS-C for ,8 weeks initially with the option to extend to 10-12 weeks if clearly helping.
As you can see, she's overlapping these two peptides.
Buy both in 10 mg powder bottles
Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water using 2 ml into powder in each.
Use insulin syringes that go to 50 units.
Hope this helps.
ive got a couple pens on the way from NEwbiorx and i cant wait to start!
For GLP support – I did 5mg and felt sick and weak for entire day. I've been hitting 1mg on training days without issue. I even tried to get to 2mg and, again, felt sick. Would 1.5 mg daily be effective as doing the weekly dose?
I’m 54 and I’m fixing to start MOT-C how should I start?
That's a lot of mots.
What about .333 mcg every day
I have reactive hypoglycemia so I will spike high then drop low after eating sometimes. Will this make me worse?
I’m 37. 6’3” 215. I intermittent fast daily. I want to explore peptides. I just got the following, MotsC, Reta,GHKcu,BPC157,TB500, CJC & IPA. Could you give a dosing protocol for my kangaroo wink
Those protocols are massive can u please address that ? I’ve honestly not seen that high mg per week in my “ research “. Is the MG per week e.g. weeks 3-6 per pin or total for the week?
I will start MOTS-C next week after finishing my Retatrutide(I stopped because I don’t want to loose my muscles , I was taking for insulin resistance and fat liver ). I do gym 3x week and rebounding everyday. Could I use MOTS-C 3x per week, in the gym days? Thank you
I could cry. I spent thousands, gtg enamored bc I have HPA axis dysfunction. So I literally at same time was taking: SS-31, bpc, reta, tesamorelin, selank, semax, pt141, nad, l-carn. Then later added mots as I was advised that i need to repair mito first then rebuild supply (mots)… 5 months later I look and feel the same. Have I worked out? No, just walked.
I quit wine a year ago nixing literally 4-5K calories a week and still… no visible weight loss. It’s gotten where I’m so frustrated my thoughts can be irrational at times. Now I’m trying liver detox (no peps) with sups: quercetine, berberine, curcumin, potassium, more magnesium… as thorough and scientific as i fancy myself to be, I clearly don’t know wtf I’m doing.
I’m begging: I’ll pay anything. Can I please have a consultation with you by phone, zoom? Please please 🙏🏻
I’m 25 and looking to optimize my body. I’m very active and go to the gym about 6 times a week. I’m currently on 0.5 mg of RETA mainly for the added energy, fat loss, and how good I feel at this low dose.
Are there any good reasons to add something like MOTS-c or peptides like Ipamorelin and CJC, or would that be unnecessary?
How can a doctor use this peptide in his clinic is a mystery
What about stacking with nad+? Ive heard if your over 40 and haven’t really taken care of your health/diet you might as well skip mots c and run ss31 first and then go back to mots once the mitochondria is repaired.
Is there a reconstitution guide pls? How much bac water goes in a 10mg vial and how many ml"s per shot?
Why would mots-c create bad nosebleeds? Is there anything I can take to reverse the effects to make the nosebleeds stop? They are daily since I began taking.
Would you provide one shred of evidence for the benefit. You are spuing BS. Total BS. Let’s see some proof.
Respectfuly, if you want to be called doctor, at least spell it correctly! (0:14 seconds in)
