📋 DESCRIPTION:
So, a few weeks ago back in July, I won the GMTK (or Game Maker’s Toolkit) game jam, working with my friend Lucas. A game jam is basically a game-making marathon: you have only a few days to make an entire video game in a game engine like Unity, Godot, or Unreal Engine. GMTK game jam 2026 had 37 thousand other developers and over 10 thousand submissions, making it the biggest game jam that happened this year. Against 10,000 other developers, we happened to land 8th in enjoyment, as well as land in Mark Brown’s 20 favourite games. GMTK’s first Unity tutorial was literally how Lucas and I learned Unity, how to code, and my introduction into the world of game design, so I am endlessly grateful and honoured to have won! I have an idea for a feature if you’re still developing this game: a scientist who chases you or follows a path to the door and if he makes it there before you or you don’t block the door off in time then you fail the level. Also with the debris bug it could’ve been a feature if you made it so as you go on in the game the levels get more rocky/destroyed/damaged
